The fact that you only like MB and you listed Disney as one of your top reasons to like Florida definitely paints a mental picture of someone who tucks their tee-shirt into their jorts and rocks socks with sandals. Potentially a fanny pack as well if you're feelin frisky.

There are lots of places you'd move back to if given the chance if you really thought about it and money was no option.

Come down here and I'll show you what you've been missing from fishing to restaurants to hiking to parks to scuba to snorkeling to lobsters to springs to rivers to quaint town to Miami nightlife to the best beach I know of. I won't tell you where it is but I'd show you. Don't worry about the blindfold, the duct tape, the rope or the cinder block on the boat.
I grew up on Florida. Lived in Orlando and Gainesville for years. And I fricking hate Florida. It's possibly had the most natural beauty of any state without mountains. But it's full of rednecks in the north and panhandle, and trendy assholes in the central and south.
Florida isn't America's Wang. It's the turd coming out of America's a-hole.

You are entitled to your opinion and I'm fine with that. It's not for everyone. I'd never disparage you for not choosing to live here. I do hate Orlando with you. It has some really beautiful areas and lots to do but it's just a hot mess that I can't deal with.

by Farmer1906IDK about worst but best is Texas. FL & TX are easily the best 2. The next 3 are Georgia, South Carolina, & Tennessee. All 5 are some of the greatest states in the union. We go downhill pretty quickly after that.

Yep. I've even got my medical card. Florida also has the strictest marijuana laws in the country. It's the only state where less than an ounce is a felony, and any amount of hash is a felony.
Orlando was the worst. If I'd have grown up on other parts, it might be different. But when I left, it's was the center of America's painkiller epidemic, and cocaine was no longer coming into Miami add as much, but Orlando and Tampa. Going out at night just became depressing. And I'm not against drugs. Just addictive, harmful drugs.
Edit: damn, thinking about Florida again does make me want to eat some mushrooms and canoe some springs.
