I don't care for this line of thinking. It happens on the SECR all the time. Someone will post something stupid, get called out on it by everyone, then say "guess I had the right bait huh? I trolled yall good lol!"

You made a silly comment not founded in truth and were called out on it. You didn't "get us", you were flat out wrong and now you're trying to play it off.

One of my buddies is a black pastor that was hired by a struggling white church. It's been 3 years and it's working out great. It was a dying Methodist Church at the time.

The did ask the congregation beforehand if they would accept him. 95% said yes.

People of various races and cultures always congregate together. Churches typically represent the diversity of the surrounding neighborhoods. That being said - its one of the few things left that people have complete choice over. For example: I moved to an area so I could be in a good school district. I chose a Church near my neighborhood. My Church is pretty diverse and matches the diversity of the area I live (as most do). I just wish more people of all colors would go to Church.

Well, not sure if you got your answer or not but it was interesting to see the discussion unfold.

You must be a Baptist.

I was raised Baptist, and you literally have no fricking clue what you're talking about. I tend to stay away from threads like this, especially when you post in them because I know a vast majority of the time you are just trying to rile people up.

Well, winner winner chicken dinner, because I am not a fan of a large majority of the things you have said about Baptist people ITT.

I do not regularly attend church anymore and to be honest, since my dad passed away from cancer last christmas, I don't really care to address it currently. However, you being one that preaches PC and whatnot, I would expect you to live by the same guidelines. You can't call people out for not being accepting toward one group and then fricking bash others with absolutely no basis for your comments.

I have nothing against you, or your point of view on life, nor do I wish to start an argument, however please add some consistency to your condemnation of others and yourself.

Most neighborhoods are racially segregated to an extent.

And here's the real reason.

Churches typically reflect the neighborhood in which they are located.

and most social groups in general, segregate themselves in some form or fashion. its the inherent nature of why social groups forms in the first place

People tend to group with other people they see as similar to themselves.

It isn't just people, in nature, most animals tend to segregate themselves to similar groups. People seem to be the only ones who whine and cry about segregation despite most being more comfortable with people that are similar to them.
