I don't think anyone is arguing they are bigger than NYC/LA/Chicago...

OK then, it's silly to suggest the Big 3 should be expanded to a Big 5 to include HOU/DAL. They don't exert the same cultural influence on the rest of the country as the Big 3.

Dallas nor Houston even have culture, plus I've never heard people visit Dallas or Houston for the hell of it. I have heard people visit Austin or San Antonio though.
