Followed by Stalin's.

Mao, Leopold II, Hideki Tojo, Nicholas II, Yahya Khan, Pol Pot, Ismail Enver Pasha also all have body counts that dwarf the "Greatest genocide in this history of man" that founded this country.

I agree that we do ignore a lot of our past on some (huge) issues but I do encourage the idea of realistic American exceptionalism.

I don't know, I've never lived any other place. I don't hate this country. I hate the way this country candy coats its history.

He's not wrong. And I'd rather see teachers not sugar coat for the sole reason of learning from past mistakes. Still doesn't mean this country isn't a great place to live. You can be critical of things in this country.

Absolute horseshite. You do realize that up to 90% of the Native American population was wiped out before the Mayflower landed at Plymouth Rock by a little thing called Small-Pox.

Life gets a lot more confusing if you break it down more. The classical model that has them all as fun little spheres with unit charges makes for an easy lesson.

Sure, I'm often critical of things in this country. Criticism is fine, ignorant criticism is not IMO.
