Technically horse is food in some countries.
Either way, I don't feel like I should have any say over how someone spends their money legally. Doesn't mean I have to respect them though. I have a lot of respect for hunters who hunt responsibly and with a purpose. These big game assholes? Not so much.

Let me preface by saying I am no fan of safari hunts and will never do one despite being an avid hunter.
But y'all do know that those hunts donate a lot of food into the villages there and provides a good economy right?

Seriously, that seems pretty sick. Hunting a zebra would be up there as well. WhenI hunt it is small game because I can put it in the burgoo pot. Damn elephant could probably feed a whole damn village.
I blame the sick fooks who decimated the Bison / Buffalo in Merica in the 1800's. Think how much meat was wasted and how much poop was never pooped to fertilize the grasslands of the great plains.

I agree with this. Anyone who spends time doing any kind of guiding sees a lot of people who give hunters a bad reputation, but those people probably have different values than I.

Snakes arent large furry mammals and dont elicit that kind of conditioned response from people.
Our ideas about which animals are ok to kill for the sake of killing and which are not are completely arbitrary (and often illogical, as is the case with snakes and spiders who are far more useful than tigers and cheetahs). As with most things, humans as a whole are not nearly as rational and consistent as we like to think we are.
