Commercials this bad can do real damage to a brand. I imagine the campaign will be pulled as the commercials are panned and sales go nowhere.
And yet, I'll bet some focus group in Paducah or Frankfurt got a hoot out of these miserable creations, and the ad agency and KFC marketing team jumped for joy shouting, "HOME RUN! WE HAVE OUR CAMPAIGN!"
Serves 'em right--for paying more attention to a focus group than to common sense that says, "these spots SUCK!"
