Tennessee I-40 has been under construction longer than the bypass around Atlanta.

Where is there any major construction on I40 other than Nashville?

The road between Chattanooga and Nashville is great, they just need to add another lane.

Literally, I 75 gets better the second you leave Georgia

The road between Nashville and Looserville is always being worked on but the new parts are great

With the speed trap between Nashville and Memphis, surprised that road is not gold plated by now.

I agree with every word you typed. TN roads aren't perfect, but they are exponentially better than other surrounding states.

2 questions

Is that speed trap between Nashville and Memphis the biggest one in the state?

Is the area around Athens TN the 2nd biggest speed trap in the state?

I drove the Nashville to Memphis stretch recently and didn't have an issue. It does seem like I've always seen more people pulled over on either side of Nashville when I have made that drive (which was often).

For awhile there, I was driving 75 south pretty regularly and kept it at 80, never saw one trooper.

Sounds like you got a flat tire once and never forgave the road department.

What highway in Georgia because it sure as hell not I 75 or I 16 as they both blow goats.

Well it's more of an overall ranking for the general road infrastructure in each state, not just certain interstates in each state.

I do like the speed limits better in Texas. 65 and 70 on a lot of Texas roads makes for less speed traps.
