This is by far the nicest thing you've ever said to me. I'll fap to your avatar tonight.

Nope, you didn't get it. Not entirely your fault, though.
Of course I dont, nobody ever has with you. Your points are so deeply profound that they not only go over your opponents head every single time but you have to make sure they know they've missed them because they are so far off the mark.

Guilty? Absolutely, but certainly not equally so. Your level of arrogance borders on a delusional personal disorder.
It's your bonerish use of the English language that really sets your brand of arrogance apart from mine.

Yea that is 2 words, and bad timing.

quote:What does that matter? It's just obfuscation. If the question is is pumping trillions of tons of co2 into the atmosphere going to effect the climate the peer reviewed science is pretty solid. If you don't believe that then you don't believe in science the way we do it and should just toss all of it including peer reviewed medical research.
Interesting, given that both the climate change deniers and the fullblown "We're gonna die" treehuggers use the same sources of "data"
I would expect the debate about what, if anything to do about it to be very politicized, but to politicize the science itself makes as much sense as politicizing medical research.

From someone who uses the term "bonerish"?

The point wasn't deeply profound at all. The reason it isn't entirely your fault is because your ego is preoccupied with winning an argument, not absorbing what is being said.
Your response was a joke. My 'disclaimer' was making the point that despite things being incorrect on the macro level we're capable of enjoying the treasures of life as individuals. You responded by saying you enjoy your life, which is exactly what my disclaimer was saying.

I get to come home every day knowing I made at least some small difference in the lives of others.

Actually I think 'apart' is proper grammar in that case, but I'm no English major.

It wasn't an "argument" until you made it one. I made a neutral statement. You are the one who saw fit to flaunt your superior intellect, refusing to accept "to each their own".

You were speaking of specific things within a larger existence that sucks, I was speaking of the existence you condemned itself. Your point that general American life is awful is purely your opinion but you're to arrogant to see it.

What I said had nothing to do with American life specifically, further showing how lost you are.

Fine, the rat race of life in general. Stop playing games.

we need a thread that we can post stuff that is questionable content in order to see if it is OK to post, I had a great pic of Mia to break up this bullshite, but I don't think it is clean enough to post.

Therefore, when we breathe out, all the carbon dioxide we exhale has already been accounted for. We are simply returning to the air the same carbon that was there to begin with.
The carbon released from fossil fuels is the same way. It wasn't brought here from outer space...it's always been here on this earth. Fossil fuels were once living organisms...it's all a cycle. We aren't adding anymore carbon to this earth..it's just a byproduct from using a material that has always been on Earth.
I'll admit that rapid consumption of these materials can throw the cycle off balance temporarily before it has a chance to correct itself. Now we don't know how extreme the correction will be, or if we are even close to making enough of a difference to even notice at this point. However, it won't lead to the end of the world. It's par t of a cycle and mother nature will correct itself.
With that said, that is all related to CONSUMPTION and use of fossil fuels. Taxing or imposing regulations on coal plants is stupid, because if you burn the coal, the carbon goes somewhere. It may not go directly into the air, but it goes into our environment somewhere eventually. It's always been here, and always will be.

This can't even be responded to, it's that dumb.
I find it amusing that you talk down to everyone on here like you're some grand wizard of knowledge of how the world works, yet never give a single solution to any problem.
