I was wondering how long it would take somebody to catch it. I figured a lot of the kids on here would have no idea who I was talking about.

Why does everything around here have to devolve into a dick-measuring contest?
This may be news to you, but Texas is different than Alabama is different than Florida is different than Louisiana.
Each has something unique to offer.
Grow up, lad.

Meh, never had cause to go to the panhandle for any reason. Always went to South Padre, Galveston, or South Florida. Why go to Florabama when its the same distance from Houston to SP?

Just stop cokebottle....you are making yourself look stupid. I'd suggest going then get back us. No comparison. I live in TX, been to all you have suggested, and own a place near 30a...that ought to tell you something...

30A is pure trash. I wouldn't be caught dead in that poverty hang-out. I laugh at people who go there, no self-respect at all.

Yea all the Louisiana people flock to those beaches. It might as well be an extension of their state.

To end the beach debate. Best beaches in Florida are The Keys, Sanibel Beach/Captiva and Naples.

Destin >>> every other beach in the United States

Sad thing is, you and all of the trashy rednecks from LA, MS, Alabama, etc actually believe this.

Destin isn't even top 5 on the GoM in Florida alone

You take vacations to a beach town in Florida? White trash!

I'm disappointed that any of us were there. Most of us have more money and class than that. If I EVER took a vacation to Florida it would be to the keys. Not a place that's pretty much Alabama. You have to be kidding me with this thread. Poors on parade!

You are out of your fricking mind dude.

The Emerald Coast is heaps above any other beach in Florida.

The only one that is close is Siesta Key in Sarasota

Miami Beaches are a total shithole
Jax Beachs are trash
Cocoa Beach??
Daytona Beach??
The Keys?
New Smyrna Beach?

I agree. I am partial because I grew up on the Emerald Coast. I have been to each coast and from north to south in Florida. I will take the Emerald Coast over any, as far as beaches go.

Those lists are the opinions of others. You laugh at their opinion, others laugh at yours. It's just a giant circle of folks laughing at other's because they have different opinions.

I like Destin OK but only go there for work. I wouldn't consider a vacation there. There are many other better choices in my opinion. The panhandle has great sand. I prefer the Atlantic.

Having said that, Cape San Blas, is one of my favorite beaches and I've been to nearly every beach mentioned in this thread and on those lists at some point or another.

Most of the Emerald Coast has too many Bama/LSU fans there and are too crowded because of it. I don't enjoy that so those beaches don't make my list of favorites. It doesn't mean the beach isn't beautiful though.

Keys is up there in the top 5 because it's far away from the mainland and usually doesn't have that much riffraff. Get on a boat and hit one of the small islands/sandbars there. Water is warm and it's great.
