The link above is from a study that analyzed federal spending from 1981-2005.

I would, but they cost the rest of us too much money.

For every $1 in taxes paid, Alabama receives $1.29 in return.

Maybe if your state were a little better, the federal government would like to locate things like NASA and the entire US military's helicopter training program there instead of here and you'd get a little better return on your investment.

Not trying to be a douche but how does this relate to 2015?

Sure the reactionaries aren't doing their homework, but it doesn't make it less foolish to fall into the trap you know is there.

Except, there is no trap, at all. What's happening will have 0 effect on voting or one's ability to vote. It's 100% complete reactionary B.S. to 100% untruthful claims.

I don't know what you do for a living, but you should immediately quit and get into politics. Alabama's policy experts are in dire need of this sort of expertise.

I laid out the trap.

Pushing stories about how easy it is to get IDs in Alabama. Full press to shoe the reasonable nature of the ID laws. A month or two ahead of having to close these DMVs.

You're Alabama, enacted a law that is supposedly designed to limit voting access to blacks, and then close down people's main source of getting an ID (even if there is still access in each county).

This will all die down, because it's likely a complete non story. I just enjoy it when conservatives bitch about the MSM, don't expect the obvious reaction, then bitch about the MSM again.

Or knock down fraudulent voting.. but whatever.

I dunno.. this story proves out the complaints that people have about the MSM and it's bias. (And this incident in no way means I am in support of Bentley)

And how dishonest, or shortsighted, to link Photo ID's with the DMV? DL's aren't the only approved ID to have to vote. The law isn't you must drive to vote.

I doubt it. The U.S. Justice Department will investigate, and eventually sue, just as they did in North Carolina.

Except not the same.. 3 of the 4 issues NC had/have, haven't a thing to do with what's going on here.

Exactly. If both issues were the same, they wouldn't need to litigate in Alabama.

How much fraudulent voting do you think happens in Alabama?

Yes, they're ridiculous. I'm saying you know they're ridiculous but give them the ammo (this case is just a small example). I think it's just because conservatives like to bitch about it.

You need not sell me on the nonsense, until I see something showing access to IDs are being limited.

No idea. Do you think it will be harder with photo ID's?

How? By calling out their BS?

I comprehend fine, when someone with sense is making points. I may disagree with them, but I understand them. Unlike your choppy thoughts.

So passed a law to fix a problem that you don't even know if it's a problem or not? How small government of you.

You just like bitching, admit it.

I sympathize with your position. When better to give you shite?

The type of voter fraud that photo IDs prevent doesn't even exist.
