Any other bros with daughters feel that way?

I am so happy for you. My "baby girl" will be 21 next month. It is the greatest thing in the world. Not that it would have mattered but she got hooked on football when she was 7. We have a ball. She picked out the A&M game last year and we drove down for the game for the weekend. Cold and windy, but it was about the greatest day in the world.

Since we're on music now, remember your One Direction thread? Get ready for some boy band music.

I may just be rationalizing to fit my situation, but I'd rather have an older sister to show a young boy how to act.

I love my older sister to death, but she was a fricking whore. If I had followed her lead I'd probably have AIDS by now. She dodged that bullet, though.

She knew she was being dumb, though. She told me if I ever did the shite she did she would kill me. We're about 5 years apart so it works out. I'm thankful she steered me right.

So I guess you're right. Either the older sister is a classy lady and teaches the brother how to treat women, or she's a shining example of what NOT to do.

Slipp

You'll cry when you see her for the first time, or at least tear up.

And then reality will smack you in the face and you'll realize that from now on you're responsible for her health, education, and future. That's a big responsibility that can be a bit overwhelming at first.

Within a few months everything will calm down and you'll start to settle into a new routine.

However, you'll never stop worrying about your kids.

Congratulations!

I have a lil princess of my own and if I can give you one piece of advice to take with you on this jouney of parenthood it would be to listen, play, talk, and listen some more TO HER for in the moment that you do not someone else will and they may not have her best interest at heart.

You are hers... more than you ever thought you were your wife's. Gift wrapped for her and SHE is your priority now.

You do this and she will never want to let you down. She WILL seek your approval and she will always want to make sure daddy is taken care of.

Also..It will make your wife jealous and she will try harder to get your attention.

Is it weird to hope that she's a lesbian? That would make my life a whole lot easier.

I started this exact thread on the original OT and got lambasted to hell and back.

It's because you're Sorantable, a person of low character.

Slipp, though a prick, is a FAR better poster than you. Slipp's posts are of high quality while your posts scream low IQ.

This one is gonna have to learn to love Modest Mouse and everything Spencer Krug has ever done or she's gonna have a miserable time in the car.

for a chubby nerd...you have a certain cool quality that I cannot quite nail down.

Perhaps it's because the beard makes you look like Ishmael from Moby Dick, you clearly enjoy wearing Cuban revolutionary hats and shirts, and you have conversations with little green birds.

That's somewhat cool...right?
