Very nice. I have a feeling the stress levels at your job aren't quite like mine.

Probably not, which is why I chose to disregard my business degree and quit my corporatish job a few years ago.

And even when things do get tense it's easy to just take a breath and look at the view.

But I will tell you it's kinda stressful when you know you have zero control over the weather and a couple ill timed frosts can ruin your crop.

There's disease too, that can be a headache.

Weekends are usually wild. Thousands of people getting more drunk than usual ordering lots of food and drinks. I keep the front and back of house together on the weekends, it can be stressful.

I lead an analysis team that does CFD and FEA work for a division of a fortune 500 company. I primarily work with ANSYS Multiphysics, Pro/E, Pro/Mechanica, and Flotherm. Got my BSME at Auburn but always excelled at Thermodynamics and Physics and really self taught myself most of that I needed to know to do what I do. Most others who have proceeded me in this position held MS or PHDs.

Have a business degree and ended up in property/casualty insurance. Some classes (business law, speech, composition) were helpful, but you actually learn insurance on the job. Did spend many years getting professional certifications & designations.

Worked mostly for national brokerage firms in Chicago and LA and then ended up in Florida. Moved to Gainesville to start the training department for a large homeowners company.

All these years and I've never been bored - not one day. This business is a hoot. Just when I think I've seen it all, some new crazy thing happens.

I'm a vet - currently in a program to become a boarded specialist.

Started at Auburn with intentions of becoming a wildlife biologist. Switched to pre-vet around junior year.

I am currently a junior at Berry College majoring in Exercise Science. I work for HUD in property management even though I am a certified Personal Trainer. Really want to get into the Health and Fitness field, just not sure where to start.

Hopefully finish up school in 3 semesters, then on to UGA to get a MS in Kinesiology.

I'm a Chemical Engineer that's graduating this Friday and I've accepted a position as a Production Engineer at a Nylon production facility.

Did my last leg of my co-op at that location last summer and it was pretty fun. Lots of neat processes going on out there.

We have a small commercial group, but we're 90% homeowners and do Florida only. So, I doubt we compete much.

In my commercial days I handled a lot of contractors. If I never have to read another bid contact or issue another certificate, I'll be happy!
