If you tried to have sex with a non-human primate you would lose your dick.

Now that I think about it, it would be incredibly difficult to frick a non-tranquilized monkey.

Bet CheeseburgerEddie would try it tho.

If you're lucky. I don't think humans understand just how strong they are. It's crazy.

My dad's cousin worked at a zoo for years in Colorado. He had his right shoulder dislocated by an infant chimp once who was just trying to play with him. It grabbed his hand arm and effortlessly yanked it out of socket.

They are terrifyingly strong. A full grown chimp could easily tear you in half.

Absolute truth. They'd probably tear each arm off from a would be assailant and that's for starters. I definitely wouldn't want to clean up that mess or piss one off.

Glad your Dad's cousin was ok. What is just mind blowing to me is that the infant chimp likely recognized him as 'friend' and was just trying to get his attention. But non-human primates are no joke.

I love how this topic has taken a complete turn to the violence and strength of great apes.

I get what you're saying and it deserves more than we gave it. BUT we also already know our pols are morons so you can only get so much out of it. The great ape strength is new to a lot of people. State reps/senators and even US reps/senators being mouth breathers isn't new.

Sad, innit?

How is this news to anybody at this point? How could somebody (a grown adult) not know how insanely strong a gorilla, chimpanzee, or orangutan is?

Because despite the wealth of information at the majority of our fingertips, people insist upon being ignorant.

I was going to take this thread seriously even after I read the exclusive list in your op. Not anymore.

You're an idiot and part of the problem.

Biden really isn't better than Palin as he's a complete clown that can't stop saying stupid shite.

And you voted for that.

This is an SEC board so it's really not about them. Besides, we pay the price when they do something dumb. Yes there are dumbass northern pols but the region does not take the heat we do.

I realize that, but everyone saying how stupid the south is is tiresome. Born in the south, raised in the north, I have seen both sides. North is just as dumb as the south. I've seen it firsthand. Just look at Detroit, Chicago.

Unfortunately, stupid is universal but the application of stereotypes is far from universal and so we take a lot of unfair BS (if this was a more general board with regional outsiders I'd be a helluva lot more defensive about the South but since most of us are southerners or at least familiar/tied to the South in some way, I feel we can talk about what's wrong to one another). I suppose it's like I can give my own state as well as other southern states all the hell I want to but if you're an outsider you better just STFU and stay out of it because you're not going through it the way we are (the same way I can dog cuss my brother but a non-family member better not dare).

As for dumb... I've been around the globe and back and there really are dumbasses everywhere. When you get past what really are just superficial cultural differences, people are people; some good, some bad, some in between. The same applies to levels of smart and dumb.

No they don't know. Most people know less about the natural world than the political world.

A 130lb chimp will attack you and rip your face off. If people don't believe it they should look up victims of a chimp attacks. They usually have little to no face left, and are badly disfigured. The bonobos are the only non-violent members of the great apes.

Living in a swing state, I feel like I should throw in my 2 cents. I laugh at some of the southern political players. Who can out-patriot, out-religious, and out-discriminate their opponent? It truly is funny. The Newsroom has two perfect clips about southern/tea party republicans today.

Tea Party is American Taliban

Tea Party Explained

This is completely neutral, but the Republicans will get crushed in 2016 if they run a fool like Ted Cruz or Huckabee. The two candidates that are "thinking about it" that have a chance to win are Jeb Bush and John Kasich.

Jeb can win simply because of name recognition and his ability to distance himself from his brother.

Kasich can win because he is one of the most moderate Republicans out there. A RINO if you will. Being governor of OHIO, he can certainly lock that state up. No GOP President has ever won election without OHIO.

I don't think the Dems will run Hillary, but it wouldn't surprise me. Obama came from nowhere in 08, and I would predict another candidate like that for the donkeys.

But, good luck getting rid of the Tea Party.

You know how I know you get all your talking points from MSNBC and demUnderground?

You may not like his politics but he's one of the smartest guys in DC by a mile.
