Where would you say your favorite park is east of the Mississippi?

It's technically a National Forest, but the answer is El Yunque.

Me, either; I really like Yosemite (Sam), Rocky Mountains NP, & the Natchez Trace, too...

Padre Island National Seashore is nice, as well.

I've never been to one I didn't enjoy. Glacier would have to be pretty near the top of the list.

I have to agree. Even in Cuyahoga Valley there was some areas that were nice.

Have to admit it Roger. I'm jealous as hell of all the natural beauty so close to your backyard. Can't wait to get to Alaska.

Rocky Mountain NP is legit. Driven parts of the Natchez Trace but have never been to Padre Island National Seashore. From pictures, it looks like the Sea Islands off the Georgia coast. Is that accurate? Btw, Cumberland Island is a great spot to visit.

Glacier Bay is only 50 air miles away. Admirably Island NM is 5 miles and Tracy Arm/Fords Terror Wilderness is 40. You can do a day trip from Juneau to Tracy Arm. It's stunning.

That's awesome! My wife lived in Ketchikan for 6 years before we met. The pictures she showed me were so beautiful. Really like what I've seen and heard from her about Southeast Alaska. Have friends who lived in Juneau for a while but live in Anchorage now. Maybe I can shack up with them and see some of the sights.
