revolvers are hard to beat for defense. Simple to operate under stress and very rarely malfunction. You should surprise her with one. You'll get laid.

That's what I carry. Smallest one I'm allowed to other than the ankle one.

I would rather start an AR-15 build...I really want to do a .300 blackout, but I hear ammo is still pricey.

Absolutely. Everyone's all in love with semi-autos (and I do own one), but for a carry weapon both my wife and I have revolvers because it is all but a 100% guarantee one will go bang should you ever really, really need it to.
