I just said I read the story and the president didn't respond.
I think at the very least...which I've seen done several times. Is a simple letter in school newspaper, email blast, etc. regarding an intolerance of certain type of behavior which is against the shcool code of conduct blah blah blah.
If shite kept handling maybe a town hall meeting or have a speaker come in and speak on diversity acceptance and inclusion.
Point is there wasn't much to physically do..but there was a lot of covering ones own arse that could have been done. No one, at least who I have spoken to, thought prez deserved to lose his job or it would have even gotten to this.
Having said that, none of the aforementioned steps were taken. Sounds like from what I read he didnt even acknowledge the complaints or sit down and speak with the students. If you ignore your constituent and feel like it's beneath you in the grand scheme of how much more important shite (pun intended) you have to deal with... then be prepared for the consequences if shite hits the fan

Mass com, isn't actually part of the Jschool but I agree w/ you on principal, the Click nitwit should be fired immediately along with Pinkel who supported his players going through this nonsense.
Actually glad they're dragging the Jschool through the mud, it is the central collection point for many of the most radical morons on campus.

It's sort of splitting hairs, but she was not a professor in the School of Journalism, but rather the School of Communications, which is part of the College of Arts and I Sciences. She had a courtesy appointment to teach a few mass comm classes in the J School. They were voting this afternoon to rescind that courtesy appointment.
