Probably not SA ancestry. More like he read about the decline and implosion of Rhodesia on Stormfront or something similar.

2. It's a CBS affiliate.
3. It's owned by Tribune Broadcasting, which is a huge media conglomerate.
So your "point" about not hearing this in the mainstream media is off base.
