The most popular pizza establishment in Chicago isn't deep dish. I think that says something.
And?
The most popular burger in America is at McDonalds. You actually believe that it's the best?
The most popular pizza in Athens, GA is Domino's. I guess that's the best you guys have...

Nice. I will have to order from them sometime.

Maybe.
I've heard time and again that Pequods is the best deep dish pizza in Chicago.
I think the consensus best pizza overall in Chicago is Piece. It's a brewery and a nice spot too so it's just a cool experience.
And the "this pizza is sex in my mouth" was actually from Eataly (where I'm eating at for dinner tomorrow).
But I ain't well traveled in the Chicago pizza circles.

Totally different styles.
I love Chicago deep dish pizza. I used to work at Pizzaria Unos, which was one of the orginal deep dish pie joints.
New York thin crust original pizza is also awesome. Again, totally different styles. Both great to me.
Personally, if I had to pick one today, I'd go NYC because I cant eat that deep dish stuff any more. Too much food and its a sit down meal without exception. In NY, get a slice and go. Fold that shite in half and munch while walking.

St. Louis style and it's not close.
Cracker crust, provel cheese which we invinted. And pizza cut into squares not pussy triangle shapes.
You know who liked triangles? That homo purple teletubby that's who.

Good call. That somehow got me confused with Unos which is not very good.

The problem with success of a restaurant, is that, as it expands to new markets and franchises, quality is often sacrificed.
Have you seen the little express versions of Uno that popped up in food courts and airports? It's a travesty to call that a Chicago pizza. It's not even stuffed. It's a freaking Pizza Hut pan pizza with a thick chunk of bread for the crust.

I love both but the best pizza I've ever had was at Pizzeria Due in Chicago.
Close second was one in NYC in Feb. I don't remember the name but it was one road south of the park.

New York. Chicago is good, but it doesn't feel like it is even pizza half the time.

I like Imo's enough I would place an order and have them mail it to me if I ever move out of state again.

Wonder if that will change anyone's vote
Yeah. But he eats it with a fork like a jabroni.

Chicago and it isn't close enough to be in the same Galaxy. I've had the best in both. It's not a fair fight.

juliana's pizza is the best pizza sold in America today. Chicago deep dish is hardly even pizza.
