Oh man. I had an internship in Demopolis last summer, and if hunting isn't your thing, the biggest highlight of the town was the Walmart. And it actually was kind of a big deal because it was the only Walmart for miles outside of that city.
Also, I don't know how many of you have ever driven through Uniontown but the ones that have will know what I'm talking about when I say: Holy. shite.

Living in a place that depends on tourism is a fricking headache, though.
The only place I'd want to live in Alabama is Birmingham or a surrounding suburb.

There was some magazine a few years ago which named Auburn one of the top ten cities in the United States. I'm not surprised it is #1 in Alabama.

I don't see how Alabaster makes the list and Vestavia doesn't. Alabaster sucks.
Agreed. Vestavia is a hell of alot better.

Fairhope laughs at this terrible list.
Daphne also laughs at this list. Hell, Daphne made the CNN Money top 100 places to live in the USA and can't even get on the top 10 list in the state? Terrible list.

Huntsville has been on a ton of lists like this. I just don't see how you could rank cities. Way too many variables that depend on your preferences.

According to a real estate brokerage firm? Calera, Enterprise, Albertville are some of the others? Pelham and Alabaster?

Auburn is known
nation-wide as home of the double-wide.
Hoover, home of tSEC Baseball tourneys, is cool for a short stay.
Overall, its Gulf Shores though by a mile.
If it was Louisiana that was undercut by Florida like that, we'd have invaded and taken over that shite.

Its a pretty idiotic concept to be honest. Different strokes for different folks. No sense in trying to rank something like places to live.

I don't post as much as you, but I read/lurk often. So I know you're a good poster. "To each their own" and all, but I'm curious why you'd rank Fairhope that far down.
