They're good people. They do a ton of volunteer work with special needs adults and children, mentor at risk kids at the high school, and do maintenance work for the homeless shelter. All in their free time, too.

The government has bigger and better guns
Maybe bigger, but there are so many guns in civilians hands that a true fight would make the civil war look like a senior prom.
And how many of those bigger, better guns would come to our side when many soldiers refuse to use them against Americans?
There are approxamently 300 MILLION guns in private hands. The amount of trouble our military had with the insurgents in Iraq and Afganistan would be nothing compared to that.
I could see the government causing problems in the areas where guns are hard to get (New York, New Jersey, Illinois) but it would be a different story in the "red areas" of the country.
Guess Ill go home an load magazines tonight...

Our charter boat captain was a retired Sgt. He was telling me about how whenever they had to pick up washed up Cubans that they'd always bring them a sandwich and a beer/water.

The county sheriff is Rick Ramsey and he's a pretty good guy. I've only met him a handful of times but he's on damn near every nonprofit's board.

I am ready, if I were allowed to own firearms they would be in good working order and loaded with plenty of spare ammo on hand and a large sign stating that if you cross this line you die.
