When it continues into the summer, when Baltimore hits your town, will you accept the government lockdown? Will you be asking for it? Will you welcome it?

A lot of people are already scared, and at that point. Women especially.

And now that's what I'm really afraid of. We'll be thankful when it happens.

Nashville is in the process of implementing gentrification, so I think we'll be fine. Also, the cops here are actually kind of nice and the projects seem to consist of older folks. I like it here.

Memphis though...

I don't live in a city so I'm pretty sure we won't be affected but just in case, Smith & Wesson are both ready.

seriously though. If a cop ever murders a black man here, and riots ensue, I'm looting the Frugal McDougal. They have $1000 bottles of wine in there!

They're paid well and well qualified. Funny how that works.

no kidding.

metro Nashville is apparently tough to get into. As it should be for any department IMO. Justifies paying them more.

Every major city in the state of Tennessee would be fine with the exception of Memphis I would think.

Start at right under $80,000. Patrolman with 3 years makes like $95,000.

4 year degrees only.

Honestly, I've considered it, but I really do like Memphis.

what?!

wow, one of my fraternity brothers in college is narco for metro nashville. Was patrol for a few years. I bet he's doing pretty well. I really figured they were all in the 60k range. 80-95k is solid.

I'm sceptical of those numbers. 95k after three years without OT would make them one if not the best paid police department in the nation.

The inner core of Chattanooga (the area that the Ridge Cut flies over, but doesn't really connect to) will be a dumpster fire.

I'd think twice about going to Riverbend this year.

You mean the greater Memphis area would melt-down ... basically all of Shelby County and it would probably spill-over into West Memphis, Olive Branch and Southhaven as well.
