Interestingly, I study political science, and enjoy politics. However, I can't bring myself to post in political boards/threads on a site like this (other than this thread). I don't know why that is, I just feel like I can't.

They have made it quite clear that my philosophy and insight is no longer needed. They have their alpha to look to now, they have no need for intellectual discussion or ideas or words in general. They have the best words, YUGE words, believe me.

People have forgotten that political discussion does not have to be about proving yourself right or wrong. It has to be as much about understanding the other side THEN finding a common ground.

They have accepted the mantra of "Win at any cost". They forgot that if you sacrifice your principles, sacrifice your values your morals, your philosophy, your rights, for "victory". You're actually not "winning" anything.

Exactly! That kind of rhetoric is what has led to the political quagmire we have where each "decision" by the system is an agreement to concede another argument. Then none of the collective decisions work together or accomplish the ends that the country needs them to meet.
