I'm serious. There's more to fishing than solely saltwater. You're blinded by homerism. I can see where La has a bit better saltwater fishing, and definitely in food. I can also see where Bama has better overall fishing, and hunting as well.

Perhaps you're the one that needs to travel and spend some time fishing in other regions.

Son, no troll job. Just honest opinion based on experience. As I said, get out of the marsh for once in your life and you'll see there's a lot more fishing to be had.

I don't know enough about the quality of life in either state. I'm sure there are nice areas in both.

I'm k in NWA.

Grew up fishing on Toledo Bend. You don't know what you're talking about, gump. Next you'll be telling me 2 + 2 = 5. LA fishing > AL fishing and it's not even debatable. Period.

The Bass Masters Classic is held pretty much every other year on an Alabama lake (usually Lake Guntersville) or an Alabama River so the freshwater fishing in Alabama is legit. Louisiana's saltwater fishing is on a different level than Alabama's though.

As for deer hunting, we are surrounded by major high dollar pay hunt lodges at our lease in the Black Belt region of Alabama. There are 2 high profile major league baseball pitchers that own hunting land near ours as well. The Black Belt region is a coveted area for avid deer and turkey hunters that can afford to buy large tracts of land.

Having lived in both: LA has the best food and best hunting/fishing.

AL has better living, more scenic in certain areas. LA is very flat.

I'd give the nod to LA. But I do like living in bham.

Yea he's the biggest homer on the site. I wouldnt take what he says seriously.

LA is far superior to AL in fishing and hunting. AL might have better deer hunting but duck hunting in LA is the best.

Which is why I like Alabama's hunting more. Deer hunting is the only kind of hunting I do so duck hunting doesn't do anything for me. I see huge big bearded turkeys on our lease all the time so if I want to do that in Alabama I also have some of the best turkey hunting available. I do want to go on a red fish trip in South Louisiana though. I've heard those are some of the funnest fishing trips you can experience.

That's because fishing/hunting is the closest call between the 2 states. Alabama can't hang with Louisiana when it comes to food and unique culture. Louisiana can't hang with Alabama when it comes to golf courses, hiking, hunting, and natural beauty.

Respectfully disagree. Louisiana wins fishing overall although I agree that Alabama's freshwater fishing is every bit as good if not better than Louisiana's.
