Idk about this..yes you are the epitome of cfb right now, but LSU is a solid SEC team with tons of national attention, and we have an NFL team

Tough to compare entire states to each other, much easier to compare individual cities.

Louisiana has the best big city (NOLA)
Alabama has the best mid-sized city (Huntsville)
Alabama has better beaches (Gulf Shores and Orange Beach)
Louisiana has higher per capita GDP
They have similar educational attainment levels
Louisiana has (IMO) better culture
Louisiana by far for pro sports
Alabama for college sports

Overall I'd probably say Louisiana, but again it depends on the specific city. For instance I'd rather live in Huntsville than Shreveport.

By this, I assume you don't equate better culture to "more cultured". Birmingham and Huntsville are much more cultured cities than New Orleans

I would like to see a Lafayette vs Huntsville midsized city comparison.

I mean that Louisiana has better arts and history: music (creation of jazz and zydeco), architecture, food, etc. Alabama is pretty similar to Georgia and Mississippi, Louisiana has a lot more character (again, IMO).

I'm biased but I'll go with NASA all day. Lafayette is just fortunate to be close to vast oil deposits. Huntsville's rise is much more interesting and unlikely. Huntsville literally went from a small city of 15,000 in the 40s/50s to a city of roughly 180,000 today in a metro area of nearly half a million due to NASA and all the high tech research that flocked to the area. Lafayette is hard to beat from the standpoint of food and unique culture, but Huntsville economy wise is incredibly unique for the Deep South. It's basically the Deep South's version of Silicon Valley.

Neither is good to live in. Even if you win this debate, you're still siding with what is objectively one of the worst states in the nation to live in.

Not insane at all if you were to limit it to freshwater fishing. Fishing includes both freshwater and saltwater and Louisiana clearly has the better saltwater fishing therefore Louisiana wins fishing as a whole. Alabama does have better bass fishing, deer and turkey hunting, and MUCH better golf courses though.

Speaking of golf, I'll be at the Zurich the weekend after next. I love attending that golf tournament.

But that would be retarded and Louisiana's saltwater fishing is world class. LA fishing > AL fishing -- no contest.

La doesn't compare to Bama's freshwater fishing. While Bama may not be quite what La is saltwater, it's still pretty good, and Bama has over 200K acres of marshes to fish as well. Overall, all things combined... Bama can't be beat.

There is some truth to this. Alabama's saltwater fishing is actually pretty good. The Mobile Bay area has an abundance of the reds and specks that Louisiana is so renowned for. Louisiana just has so much more of the great saltwater inshore fishing that puts it over the top. Louisiana also has great ducking hunting too. On the other hand, Alabama blows Louisiana away when it comes to deer and turkey hunting. Louisiana doesn't have a region that compares to the Black Belt region of Alabama

The fishing out of Venice, LA is world class and a greater fishing destination than anywhere in AL. Be honest with yourself.

I didn't say it wasn't better saltwater. Just said Bama's is still pretty good, and that Bama's freshwater is much better. All things considered, Bama has the best fishing overall. Same with hunting overall.

You cannot be serious. You either haven't traveled or you're trolling. I'll assume you're joking and move on to save my time. If you're serious; seek help or travel outside of your county.
