WTF are you even talking about?

NCAA tournament has 36 at large bids. NIT only has 32. Literally nothing you are saying makes any sense.

Here, try again.

Ah, I see. You completely missed the point. The point was using the NIT as some type of barometer or measuring stick is retarded as a team has very little control of getting there. The NCAAT is a reasonable goal (if realistic) as there is far less impacting your chances of making it beyond your own accomplishments as a team that season.

To restate it again, don't use the NIT as some type of goal or measuring stick for a season. If you can't make the tourney, use record or something more within the program's control.

The only way you can use that logic is by using automatic bids. Every at large team in each postseason tournament is at the mercy of a selection committee.

What you are saying makes absolutely no sense.

Record is important, but so are postseason berths. If we lost every regular season game, but won the conference tourney and went to a Final Four...I'm pretty sure most would deem that a success.

Records are worthless if you don't make the postseason.

Back to the X game, Kenpom has them 37th. So definitely a tough task on the road. Wish we could have kept it in single digits, and absolutely had the chance to do so.

They've only lost 6 home games in the past 6 years.
