My bad. You're absolutely right. I wasn't even thinking the new kid. Yeah, I like the new kid and his attitude as well. Hope he earns significant PT.

I'm absolutely positive. I think you know how that ends.

You guys know Adams still has the knee injury right? Even his coach was quoted to PM that he would probably redshirt if he could, as he's only just now jogging and shooting, and hasn't done any running or scrimmaging yet. I don't think he can be counted on to contribute, and we're not even the favorite to land him, he's an Arizona kid that ASU wants.

Where is the scoring going to come from? We return Clark at like 9pts a game and that's it. I wouldn't count on a true freshman starting or contributing much at all, just like we saw last year. So that means we need significant contributions from Clark/Rosburg (not going to happen)/Wright/Gant/Allen. Only Clark and Wright have shown the ability to score much at all, Gant has potential but needs to bulk up strength wise. You also need big contributions from the JUCO's. Payne was a midmajor kid and is undersized, and Woods isn't here yet.

To act like we'll be better without MGC and that win 15+ games is just silly. Take off the black and gold glasses guys, this is going to be a repeat of last year.

Players improve in the offseason. Way too early to know how this season will shake out. Many close losses last year that could be won this year without much improvement.

I didn't say Mizzou, I said teams with top ten schedules can get in the tourney with 18 to 20 wins. Just sick of you and 808 hating on the bball squad all off season long. It get's old. You both know more about footbaLL than bball. Rebuilds take time and that's something that a lot (not all) AAU/youth culture don't promote in any way. Good things come to those who wait/patience is a virtue...ya know all that BS that is actually true.

Just give me something positive to say about hoops and I will. I was quick to give KA props about this time last year. I gave him props for keeping the prior commits on board. I liked what he had to say last year about working on defense. In fact, go back an look at some of the first few games last year. I started threads and maybe 1 or 2 people jumped in. I was excited about what I saw. Then UMKC happened. I gave props for the way it sounds like the kids are working.

You don't like to hear anything negative about the basketball and that's cool. I'm just gonna call it like I see it. If it's good, I'll say so much. If it's bad, I'll say so much. "Rebuilds" as an excuse is bullshite and you know it. "Rebuilds" do not necessarily equate to 8 wins. "Rebuilds" do not necessarily mean that your team has to lose its 2 best players. "Rebuilds" does not necessarily mean that you can't recruit talented players.

Basketball, more than any other sport, is capable of being "rebuilt" in a shorter period of time due to the fewer number of players needed to do it. Having said that, I have said, and still think, that short of a collapse worse than last year, KA should get at least a 3rd year to show signs of life.

If you're looking for nothing but sunshine pumping, it's not gonna come from me. I'll be the first to admit that.

Losing gets old, too.

Incorrect.

Every coach out there has to deal with the AAU culture. Only one of them had the worst P5 team in all of basketball. So he better figure it out. We had a pretty pathetic recruiting year. Lost arguably 2 of our 3 best returning players and somehow I'm supposed to not be negative.

We're in for another long year. And I'll be here to tell you "I told you so" the whole way.

If we have another year of single-digit wins? I hope not. I don't need three years of this clown show to figure out it's a clown show.

And many close wins that could turn into losses. I get what you're saying and I hope you're right. I just don't buy into that argument because it could go both ways.

That's pretty much what I meant when I said barring something like last year. You're just more eloquent with your words.

Those aren't facts. You're just being negative. You know damn well neither of those 2 were worth a damn and KA processed them. The line up is much better without those 2 in it.

It's the facts that are negative. They just are what they are currently.

I'm pretty down on the basketball program, not gonna lie. I was a sceptic of the hire, and after a few positive notes early, I've been afraid my preconceptions are turning out to be correct. I hope KA can put a far better product on the floor this season, but I wasn't overly hopeful before losing our 2 best players.
