I read he's still in Canada, apparently taking a class and won't join the team until August. Doesn't that seem really odd to everyone? I mean, either hes really really injured, which isn't good for us this season, or there's something more going on here, which also isn't good. This whole thing seems fishy and odd to me.

I don't think it seems odd.
He was up there to play on team Canada in some tournament, but didn't play because of his back. Glad he decided to take a course to stay busy, maybe he did it to get a couple extra weeks home if anything. I think he's supposed to be resting his back anyway.
I'm worried about his back next season, but not that much.

I'm worried about it a bit.
1. It certainly leaves some doubt if he's even coming back. Note, I said doubt, not fact.
2. I'd prefer him at Mizzou rehabbing his back at Mizzou with their resources if that is what he's doing.
3. If this team rebounds, a big part of that is going to be due to team chemistry. Any team bonding going on this summer, well he's not a part of it.
4. Won't even touch on any other work being accomplished by the staff with the team that he is missing.
Whereas I thought he would be a main cog next season, to be honest, I don't think he'll start next year now. He'll play but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't start.

Thats what I found strange is they're currently practicing and playing together. Even if he is hurt and can't practice, he's missing a lot of team building activities (so is Woods, but that's another story) and developing that chemistry.

He cant come back to the USA without being registered for classes. That won't be until the fall semester.
He needs rest.

Odd...but not too worried...if he were transferring, i think we would have heard it by now.

As I said in the other thread...more time for Terrence Phillips

Time for a new coach, KA is like poison to our program. I will be shocked if we break double digit wins this season.

Mizzou basketball will win 15 - 20 games this season.

Probably
Teki's back problems were a concern though. Wish him the best.

Thanks for checking in with no knowledge of basketball.

If Mizzou wins 15 games, it will be a miracle.

You do realize that this will give Wes more time at the 2, opening up more minutes at PG right?
I'm neither shocked, nor too upset about this. KA has alot more problems than losing Teki. Namely, setting up an offense that doesn't go through our non-existent post players.
Woods hasn't even qualified yet.
It does open up a 2nd schollie, which will be nice if we can get a Tyler Cook/Xavier Sneed combo.
We signed multiple guard/wings, it isn't like we were thin...unlike the post.
PG - Isabell, Phillips
SG (comboguards) - Clark, Payne
SF (shooters) - Walton, Namon, Van Leer
PF (Stretch 4's) - Gant, Puryear, Allen
C (post) - Rosburg, Woods (maybe)
I'm more worried about Woods not making it.

I wouldn't be shocked if Mizzou got to 15+ wins.
Sounds like when the team scrimmages the incoming recruits win a majority of the time over the returning players.
There's lots of wing players that can contribute. Shooters in Wright & CVL, corners in Payne & Walton.
Possibly adding a top 150 PF late.
The focus on offense this offseason is what KA specializes in should help.

Neither of those guys are coming. We're going to finish with roughly the same record next year. And we'll be looking at a new coach who will be an unknown or another year of KA. No top 100 players are coming here.

I'm not sure Teki was slotted as a 2.
