15 would shock me at this point. Hope it happens but not sold.

Given what Anderson targeted for last year's win total, I'd guess his target this year (internal distribution only) is around 12-14 wins.

But it opens up more 2/3 playing time. 2/3 is basically the same IMO, except you sometimes have PG playing the 2... a la Clark with Shamburger.

Clark is our best player. KA will surely use him as much as possible. Just reading between the lines with KA's comments, he loves Phillips attitude (as do I), which as we saw last year means quite a bit. He also liked Isabell's "progress"...so I would be shocked if we didn't see those guys quite a bit too.

I think it is just natural to assume that this means Wes plays more in the 2, as opposed to if Teki came back.

I wouldn't make guarantees, but I'd imagine the following OOC losses.

@Arizona, @Xavier, Illinois, NC State, 2 of UNC/KSU unless we pull Northwestern and then it's a toss up.

That's 6-7 at best if we win every other OOC game (assuming 13 like last year. To get to 20 means going 14-4 in conference or 13-5 with a tournament win. Don't see it.

To get to 15 wins means being .500 in the conference. Again. Don't see it.

Well everyone's minutes probably get impacted with each guy that leaves. Scary that KA almost ran Clark off when he first got here. Now loves him. KA didn't like Phillips attitude enough to suspend him for a good portion of the conference games but now loves his attitude? I get liking the change in attitude but I'll just wait to see if it translates to the season.

I'm going into this season with an open mind with no expectations. I hated the KA hire, and probably expected too much out of him his first year...so this year is a clean slate.

His only 2 players that aren't his are Clark and Rosburg...with only clark being one that he might not have gotten.

Seeing Teki go is obviously a downer...but I'll take team chemistry and teamwork (2012 team) over individual talent any day of the week.

My biggest worry this season is the post. Imagine if Woods doesn't make it. That would only leave Ryan Rosburg as the only legit post body on the roster. Gant is still a string bean, and the others are 6-7 at best.

I think you are thinking the wrong guy.

We've had far better teams that barely made it to the .500 range in conference.

So I'd estimate our best case scenario in conference play is two games under .500, 8-10. We would need 7 OOC wins to get to 15 in that rosy scenario.

In other words, our best case scenario is .500ish basketball.

KSU lost 4 guys to transfer last year, has a coach on the hot seat. Not sure I would chalk that up as an automatic loss, the rest are probably correct though.

Teki is a loss, but mainly on potential impact. He didn't do much last year after he got hurt and I would of loved to see him develop, but I think this team wins 15 next year without him with another tough schedule. Teams can get in the tourney with 18 to 20 wins if they have a top ten schedule like we did last year. Honestly with the influx of wings we have in the program it would have sorted itself out either way, I was just excited to see him develop. I don't really think it has much to do with KA though as you two love to state anytime we have negative news. I think our starting lineup is as follows. Phillips, Clark, Wright, Gant, Rosburg. I actually like that lineup with Cullen, Allen, Isabell, Payne and Woods off the bench. If Wright is putting in work it's actually a pretty solid back court with 2 front court players that you hope have improved as well. Don't think they are a tourney team, but I for one like the reports I'm hearing from over the summer.

Whether it has anything "to do with" Kim is irrelevant. Our team will be worse without MGC. That's the important part of what Kim means to our program.

Pretty sure he was the one suspended for being a dick to staff and team mates. No?

Until we beat UMKC, I'm not convinced anyone on the schedule is an automatic win.

It obviously has a lot to do with KA. Not sure how you can even suggest anything different. It doesn't make it the end of the world. And as I said earlier, it's not a reason to fire him or anything. But to suggest its not a black mark (to go with the good marks) is something found on TB. It is what it is. Some just can't accept any critical thought when it comes to KA and that's cool.

Like it compared to what? Could it be worse? Sure. Is it as strong as starting J3 and Teki with some of those guys coming off the bench? Not a chance.

I do too. I'm not all negative about the hoops. I give them credit where it belongs. The difference is I can look critically/objectively at a situation without feeling the need to blindly excuse failures and can do it without thinking an over reaction is needed. But I do like what I've heard about the work some are apparently putting in. Of course, this time last year I liked what I was hearing too.

Phillips is the PG out of Oak Hill...kid just coming in.

Why? Not sure I agree, and I especially disagree if we can add Adams now.
