Not throwing out anything. That includes the 2012 shot feat. Took him a few years to get the ball rolling. Since he has we've been a program that's on par with all that are outside the truly elite group. That's pretty good. It's really good considering he's done it at a place that has very little history of doing it.

You guys are taking the loss way too hard. Flush it. It happened. Doesn't mean the program is doomed or you have to go out of your way to diminish the success we've had.

Pinkel isn't getting fired. So if you want to spend all of your time worrying about, that's fine but it's not going to happen.

I understand that which is why its the end of the world Mizzou wise. He wont be fired and we wont be winning either.

I think some of ya'll are making to light of these losses. They're a major deal and have revealed a problem that we all saw coming which is a deficiency of talent. The margin for error on these lower rated recruits is razor thin, which is why we should take 1-2 a year, not build a program on them. The last 4 classes Pinkel has whiffed on a ton of talent and had to settle for what he could get, and that's starting to show up big. Next year will be even worse when you look at what we lose.

Heck guys, we made ESPN's bottom 10 this week, that's not good. We need help and we need it fast, Mauk isn't going to turn it around overnight, so we need to explore our other options if he struggles again at Florida. That or write off the whole damn season, which is a far worse thing to do imo. This season will kill what recruiting momentum we had as we have some of the worst recruiters in the SEC. It's going to get worse before it gets better.

Did we have a deficient level of talent last year?

Again, yall are overreacting. We looked like shite Saturday, and have for three weeks really. We arent very good. It happens. I wouldnt even say we are deficient in talent this year, we are down sure because we lost a ton last year (this happens at non elite schools and even occasionally at elite ones), but if we had a competent QB this would be a typical "down year" for Pinkel where he wins 8 and goes to a mid tier bowl.

We just dont have a QB. If Mauk turns it around, or they try Printz and he can play we could still get to 8 wins. If we dont get QB play, we wont.

We could certainly recruit better, but Pinkel has outperformed those rankings for years.

maybe you're under reacting to losing to a bad Big 10 team and getting completely stomped at home by UGA.

I just don't choose to continue the fantasy and delusion that Pinkel is the same as a major conference champion winning coach, because he isn't.

know I have been critical over Pinkel and Im starting to fall in line with the "We do what we do" Missouri attitude but I would still add 1.5MM or 2MM to the 3.1MM we already pay Pinkel and just give Jim Harbaugh a call.

Yeah, before KANSASS hires him, story is Harbaugh's wife is from the KC area (maybe went to KU) and Harbaugh considered the KANSASS job before Weis was hired, MIZZOU can ill afford to lose the recruiting battle for football players to KState or KANSASS on the western side of MO. Jayturds already have the KCMO media pimping for them and if they get the football program rolling it will certainly have a negative impact for MIZZOU football.

LINK

Matter blog with comments from Henson.

At least Henson will come out and say it. Mauk flat out missed opportunities when there was blocking and there were open WR's.

I liked his comparison between the football Tigers and the New England Patriots. Seems legit.

Yup, and UF fans have some hope because they can look forward to Harris.
