The only way we see another QB is if Mauk gets injured. Period.

I think if Mauk was doing better, we'd see Printz. As it is, he doesn't want to allow a QB controversy with Mauk performing so abysmally.

Because we're not recruiting, Pinkel is burying us bad.

Well then that puts fans in the shitty position of hoping for a 2014 disaster in order to force change and fresh thinking for 2015. That sucks.

How do you think I feel? I actually used to be a sunny optimist but Pinkel brought out the chicken little in me, that's how awful he is, after 13 years I just cant take that man and his stubborn ways much longer, he needs to grab a jumbo and gtfo, tired of looking at him on the sidelines with his cronies doing what he do. Enough

He's so awful that he is the schools all time leader in wins and has authored two of the top 5 seasons in school history.

Dude is terrible.

We've gone over this but wth I'll bite, most teams he beat he was SUPPOSED to beat. Any time he got a ranked win the teams would later turn out to be a fraud. Hostess should be Pinkels sponsor.

Well it's obvious you are taking the loss very hard, and have your mind made up. I'm not going to waste any more time with you on the issue.

You are the AD. You get to fire the all time wins leader. Who you hiring?

Gary Patterson would be my first call, he's a great coach who's players play hard for him, won a Rose Bowl at freakin TCU. He's my dream coach, one I think is reasonable for us to land. What I wouldn't give to have him over Drinkel.

In the two years prior to this one Patterson went 10-14 combined. You would have been calling for his head too.

He doesn't "recruit well" either.

Short memory.

He's such a slimeball. Remember in 2005 he kept jamming Brad Smiths no passing arse down our throats all year during his awful senior campaign?, we were losing to Iowa State 24-14 and Drinkel finally grew a sack and threw in Daniel and whaddaya know we had a comeback win.

Allow Eddie to get a few snaps, let the best qb play. Best example: Cardinals getting Peter Bourjos, it forced Jon Jay to improve.

Brad Smith's face mask was bent by a helmet 2 helmet hit by ISU's MLB. Smith got knocked out of the game.

So I obviously did not read all of these. I will not put the blame on Pinkel, the sky is not falling, and there is not a coach we could get that is better than him right now.

3 of Mauks picks were bad throws. One of those three did hit a wideout in the hands put it was a terribly thrown pass. The ONLY game where I thought Mauk looked good was the Indiana game and we lost that one. He was accurate and played his best game all season and it was not good enough. Mauk is not a starting QB. He is a change of pace QB like what he showed vs OSU in the bowl. But he is not accurate enough. He creates his own pressure and will not stay in the pocket when he needs to.

I am not saying Printz will come in and be great or be a savior. But he is a more natural thrower. He is 6'4 so he can see better down-field. He does not create his own pressure. I just think if Mauk starts off against Florida the way he has played the last two weeks, Printz needs to play. Or Berk. That's how bad it has gotten for me. Either one deserves a shot

23, I agree. I'm so far from calling for a coaching change.

But as for QB's...I get not making a wholesale substitution. But how Printz or Berk or whomever didn't get any reps against UGA is beyond me. If Mauk comes out with more of the same against UF, I would hope that GP gives another guy a chance, if for nothing else than to change it up for a couple of series. If I remember correctly, Mauk's numbers against the SEC are pretty atrocious, so it's not like this last week was something out of the blue or something that just needs tweaking.

Problem is Pinkel has never pulled a starter for poor performance. Once he decides on a guy, that's his guy. It's a philosophy thing.

That's why he should come out and say that Printz will get a series or 2 or 3 right now, no matter how good Mauk is playing. That way, when Mauk shits the bed, he's not pulling him for poor performance.

I understand the bashing of Pinkel, but lets be honest... no blue chip recruits out of Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, etc are going to want to play in Mid Missouri when they can play for an established program in their own backyard.

Still, there shouldn't be an excuse for not being able to lock down the majority of high end in-state talent.

Mauk just doesn't see the field well, is constantly rolling out prematurely trying to find someone.

I wish people would stop making this excuse for him. He is scared to death of the defense. When the game starts and the defense is coming, he want to be anywhere else. He will never stand in the pocket and take the hit to deliver a pass. He can't do it.

Sit him and work on it in practice. He is not ready to start. Frankly, if we have to, write off the season and work to solve the the issues for next season. Spent the rest of the year training and using games as a live test.

That said - you guys saw them come out after half-time. The team was whipped. They didn't have a spark. They came back out with the same people doing the same things and not one of them thought it was going to work. Pinkel should have made some changes just to shake it up. Throw Ray and Golden in on an offensive play. Georgia would have been so screwed up, we could have made major yards.

Mauk isn't scared. He literally can't see. The only way around it is to playaction more and roll the pocket out. That would require something like the pistol and some dedication to the run.

Chase seemed to have little trouble seeing. Drew Bree's and Russel Wilson somehow manage.

He's just not any good. He has regressed instead of improving.

That I dont remember but I should have know the a-hole would never pull a starter unless it was injury, I listened to that game on the radio, I just remember kelly talking about how awful smiths passes were that day.
