Talent is obviously a big part of the issue.
The offense is too predictable with Crockett injured (that’s coaching)
Most of the high upside players on defense are freshmen and not ready for major snaps.

Yet another KA comparison? The neat thing about trying to keep a lousy coach around forever is every year you can say that the high upside players are freshmen, until they play and don't pan out, in which case you can say the same thing again next year.

When did KA have high upside freshmen? Maybe his first season, but those players all transferred.
BO does have to win or he won’t be the coach next season.
DLineZou could be back pretty soon. Look at the players that will be sophomores next season.
Byers, Williams and Elliot all 4 star recruits.
Turner and Whiteside will also be sophomores and have looked good.
TBJ’s play so far makes me think he will be back for his senior season. That’s a group that should be disruptive. And the foundation of a good defensive front the next couple of years.

KA’s second year, we were informed that Puryear, CVL and Terrance Phillips were all high upside players. Some were even saying Mitchell Smith was going to be in the Doug Smith mold.

Smith might be a high upside player, the rest are high floor low ceiling players.

Puryear and Phillips are good players though. Don't ever recall anyone saying CVL was "high upside". Maybe he'd be a good spot up shooter.

Puryear and Phillips would be very good bench players on good teams. CVL was hyped by some. Ya know..."basketball IQ" and all.

JQ I never implied YOU were a convert Hell I and everyone else know you will never leave BOback Mountain but the proof is in the history of my long ago stated observations and how they have been parrotted back or rephrased since the start of the season. Just saying.
