Harry Ballard getting some Mizzou love and Gabe DeArmond has reported that Ballard wanting to decommit was an untrue rumor.

I wonder did that uncompetitive effort against Auburn do it for him?

It doesn't really matter, Odom can barely crack the top 50 in recruiting.

Classes in the high 40s aren't going to compete in the SEC

The difference between 28 and 50 in recruiting rankings is basically 1-2 recruits with a 4 star ranking.

Mizzou needs to recruit in the 25-35 range.

Had Byers been included in the recruiting rankings Mizzou would have been in that range.

Just as important is keeping those players on campus and developing them.

I'm more worried about Odom's inability to recruit Missouri tbo. I'd be shocked if we get anymore than 3 of the high profile Missouri recruits this year.

Where recruits come from really doesn’t matter. Mizzou needs it’s coach to bring in talent. Of the MO 10 only 5 are 4 star recruits.

Basically anything outside of about the top 15 class ranking is a crap shoot.

The elite prospects are pretty easy to identify, but after that it's barely a semi educated guess.

We will continue to agree to disagree about that. We don't have the luxury that Bama does and if we want to compete with a school like Bama, we have to have a foundation or a base from in state and build on to that. If we only rely on kids that 40 other programs have passed on, then we can expect to finish outside of the top 40 teams year in and year out.

I'll be shocked if we get any. To be perfectly honest, in a hypothetical world, if one of them were to ask me for my advice, there is no way I could tell them to even consider Mizzou at this point. They are better off thinking of themselves and going elsewhere.

Of the MO 10 to eliminate Mizzou only Mario Goodrich and Adeoye are misses.
Mizzou has commits from similarly rated recruits to the others

Preaching to the choir there reedus. I forewarned and passed along the National Recruiting Weather Board's "S" storm that would hit this years recruiting class. I was ignored. Even then I still was thinking even BO could pull 1 lucky rabbit out of his arse but I think you are on point.

Aside from my love of my school, your advice Is surely already in their heads. Barring an immediate replacement hire no later than 15 minutes after our last game(would prefer earlier) of someone who is credible, has some form of charisma and who can infuse some hopeful enthusiasm I have to say my over/under of 1 was optimistic.

My hopes rest with AD Sterk!! Even with that FB cannot be turned around as quickly as with BB. It will take much longer and require much more work to turn the clusterfu#% BO (KA 2.0) has created than (thankfully) it apparently has taken for the hire of Coach Martin to clean up the garbage created by the original KA.

Wr Danny Gray(2018 commit) has been declared academically ineligible for his senior year. What does that say about him being or staying academically eligible when he gets to Mizzou?
