Fair enough. I think, above all, we are concerned with winning now. Especially with GP being in the home stretch.

The denominator is obviously winning now.

The possibility that we may go after a guy because it has extra meaning, such as building a relationship, staying connected and relevant in TX, or taking a teammate of a guy we really want is more of a numerator thing.

But anyway. Cheers.

How do you know Missouri voluntarily decided to not pursue him harder? They made an offer. Maybe Bryant told them very early on that he doesn't want to play in the Mizzou system. He was supposedly between KSU and Northwestern. Sometimes, it doesn't matter what the school does - a kid wants to go to specific schools ala Roderick Johnson.

I think it came out that he wanted early playing time and to be the only back in this class.

Which Mizzou wouldn't accommodate.

We probably didn't roll out the red carpet for him either.

At least that's the word on the net.

IDK, but mubobby on TB said that they haven't been pursuing him for awhile now.

Maybe he told Mizzou coaches he only wanted to play RB and they didn't want him there?

He said from the beginning that K-State was his favorite school and that he loved coach Snyder.

Seems like Mizzou has been trying to get larger RBs. He's listed at 5"10" so really 5'9", they took a RB that size last year and 2 the previous year. Having 2 RBs in the 6', 210lb. range would seem to be a good plan. IMHO

Any chance to get one of the 2 DE's in Kansas? I know Kelly did not put us in his final 8. But Loudermilk and Bledsoe have been open to Missouri still.

I will be releasing my top 10 this week for the schools I may choose to play College Football at

Julian Santos. OLineman from Florida. Has a Mizzou offer but no idea where we stand. Pretty solid offer list though.

My younger cousin is a player on CBC's football team and he told me that Tre Bryant said Mizzou wanted him as DB or Slot. Bryant stated several times that he preferred RB. I honestly think it just wasn't the right offer for him, he wanted to stay at RB. Thats why he didn't go to Syracuse

I know Tre Bryant really well and trust me he is not scared of competition. He told my younger cousin countless times that Mizzou wanted him for positions other than RB and Bryant wanted to stay at RB. I saw that article, never once did Tre Bryant say he was promised playing time.. the article specifically said " KSU said they will play the best players, I like that, it shows that KSU gives every player a fair shot". Not once did he say he wanted to be the only RB or already have a spot saved for him... I'm a Mizzou fan but because I know Tre Bryant personally it sounds like you guys are just trying to justify Bryant chooses KSU over Miz by making it seem like he is scared of competition... Like KSU is small football... They are a top 25 team year in and year out just like Mizzou

I believe ya. If he wanted RB and Mizzou said something else...cool. Go to KSU and we wish him the best when not playing Mizzou. I like KSU. Good people (not red legs) and a solid program. Synder owns Pinkel.

Nope, that never came out anywhere, you apparently just made it up off the top of your head.

Are you guys related to the kid or something? You seem to be taking it awful personal. I would have liked to see him at Mizzou, but he went else where so it is what it is. No one has said anything bad about the kid I saw.

Im fine with being out-recruited. But being out-recruited by Kentucky kinds stings a little bit.

Stoops does a good job relating to kids from Ohio. But like so many coaches, they either specialize in recruiting or development, they can't do both. I think we know which side Pinkel lands on.

Pinkel and his staff is good at developing a few players here and there, but he STINKS at recruiting! Now, I have said it!

Mizzou is a system's team.
