I don't see any services reporting offers to any QB's who haven't already committed elsewhere. I'd like to take a QB in this class still. Doesn't have to be a top QB, but someone serviceable.

At RB...we have Strong joining this class. Land Taylor from Rockhurst and be done at RB.

We also need a TE in this class and have a few offers out. Didn't take one last year if I remember correctly, so almost a must this season. The ones we have any shot with are mid to low 3 stars, which is fine.

WR concerns me a bit. I'm not convinced we keep the kid from down south. He seems to just be waiting for a better offer. Beyond him, we don't have a whole lot of offers out to guys who aren't already committed. Obviously, a lot of our commits have come out of the blue with guys not showing up at the services, but makes me worry a bit about it.

Here and there??? I think he is a BIT better than that.

What does system's team mean?

They have a "System" of developing players and teams that get results where it counts most...on the field. They aren't concerned with the "System" of media hype.

Oregon is a great example of a system's team. They run a no-huddle on offense and they recruit players for that system. Usually they don't rank in the top of the recruiting rankings, but they get the best out of their players because of the system. Normally most Oregon players don't do as well as Mizzou players in the NFL, because Pinkel and staff do a lil better job at coaching up players.

That has been HCGP since day 1 here at Missouri. What he has done is change his stubborn ways. After the arse whipping called our inaugural season in the SEC he fired his OC and made changes. That is the only reason he is still coaching MU. He made some changes

AJ Taylor eliminated Mizzou apparently, down to Wisconsin, Northwestern, or Maryland. Those are some crap finalists but whatever. As long as Strong makes it we're good at RB but I'd like to keep as many top Missouri kids as we can, we're not doing great at that this cycle.

Damn. Well, that sucks. It is strange why we seem to have so much trouble on the recruiting trail. Especially this year.

Oh well, WDWWD

2016 recruiting will be remembered for all D1 programs collectively saying "meh." It's like 2015 cleared the shelves, and they won't be restocked until 2017.

The Taylor from ESTL is a defensive back. Running back A.J. Taylor from Rockhurst is the #1 player in the state is predicted by 247sports to be going to Wisconsin.(75%)

Boy, you ain't kiddin'. I can't say anybody in state this year excited me anyway, but not much happening. The prospects for 2017 are spectacular. It looks like kc area 4 star DaRon Davis was going to announce for mizzou(his only offer), but has decided to wait. great ones on the East side of STL too. hopefully we can get a few good ones in 2016 before NSD.

I don't follow recruiting as much as I have recently. If we get a commitment I'll check him out, but our recruiting is pretty boring tbh. We'll get a few big name guys but mostly lower 3* w/ unimpressive offers or 2* that don't have recruiting profiles yet.

Dr Ivey does his thing. The coaches do their thing. We win.

Sucks about Taylor. Not sure what is going on with the in state RB's. Yeah, I hear people about being happy with Strong, but I think it's important to have 2 RB's in this class. Remember, we're likely going to lose a RB in the class ahead early in Doherty. We've seen how fast injuries can deplete the depth.

As for the 2 leaving, thanks for your time at Mizzou. Lots of depth there and don't blame them. On a side note...did Johnson not start some games a couple years back? I could be way off.

Johnson came out of spring ball a couple years back as the #2 corner opposite of Gaines.
Not sure if he quit working as hard or if younger more talented guys just showed up.

That's right. The thought going through my head was that hopefully it means the talent is deeper in that position if he continued to get pushed backwards.
