I'm not so sure on that. I can't remember who our corners were then, it was before Banks and Slay. Redmond and Calhoun are both really talented.

Broomfield, Bonner, Banks, Whitley is all I can recall right now in the backfield.

But had KJ Wright, Chris White, & Lawrence at LB.

I just like the idea of us blitzing again. I don't recall any blitzes this past year.

I think it was a couple years after that, but I'm not sure. He only started 2 years right?

Banks and Broomfield at CB. Mitchell and Bonner/Whitely at S.

that defense was nasty.

Banks
Boyd
Cox
McPhee
Wright
White
Lawrence

all in the league now and Whitley would be there if he hadn't blown out his achilles

Starters were as follows (for the Vandy game).

DLine:
McPhee
Love
Burns
Bell

LB:
KJ
White
Chaney

CB:
Anderson
Washington

S:
Mitchell
Smith

Not the stoutest of starting lineups, LB was nasty but Manny has spit out LB's everywhere he has been.

You're thinking about 2009 because Chaney nor Washington were on that 2010 squad.

Banks played S his freshman year, Bonner played Nickel.

Honestly though, he will have just as much talent next year. Redmond, Beni Brown, Richie, Ryan Brown, Jones, and probably James will all be drafted. Not even considering the guys red shirting and the incoming freshmen.

Bet y'all don't know, nor do you care, but Manny's dad is a swinging dick in South Florida.

Dude was a two-term mayor of Miami and is a named partner of one of the most powerful lawfirms in any Southern state.

The thing about this hire is that Mullen and co. will know from day 1 what to work with and how to work with him. They know how to work together and are familiar with each other's intangibles. Not the greatest hire, but will make it easier to pick up where we left off this year.

What I don't get is how it could get to 67 with the talent on that defense.

Their offense was absolutely abysmal. Diaz's defense at Texas was on the field the majority of the games they played.
