This season is pathetic considering our level of talent and relatively easy schedule

If he misses the SEC tournament this year, will it be slightly warmer than comfortable?

I believe it will. If we have another year like this next year he might be shown the door

I don't even know what to think of this, it's honestly just a dumb statement. Cohen is about to finish dead last in the division for the 3rd time in 7 years. We would fire any other coach who did that. To make it worse it's baseball, not a sport that we are middle of the pack in, where we have top talent every year.

In not saying let him go, but to act like he is a really good coach is just silly at this point. Outside of one lucky run, he's been pretty damn bad. And that's with Butch Thompson's pitching.

Nah, I am pretty confident they will figure it out. It's pretty depressing looking at the numbers though. Conference record over the last 7 years I imagine is pretty bad.

Polk left us so devoid on talent- the 1st two years were on him. We were last in the SEC in draft picks those 1st two years- almost no talent. Polk didnt leave campus to recruit his last two years

2012-2014 were the 3 best years we've had in our program since the 90's.

I mean that our CWS run was getting hot at the right time in an otherwise pretty mediocre season. In retrospect, I feel like I let that one run elevate my view of our staff too much. We haven't done well in league play, in any of those seasons.

What's happening right now isn't acceptable with the talent we have. At this point in the tenure, finishing last in the division is not ok.

No doubt we made good runs 2/3 of those years. However, we still didn't really do anything special in conference. We made a CWS run, which is always nice. But, I don't think we should allow one tournament performance speak for the entire tenure.

Again, I'm more of playing devils advocate. But when you look at it, I think it's fair to say that we have what has proven to be an average staff. Anything more I can't consider accurate right now, I hope that's a different story a year from now.

I gotta disagree... Yall hosted a regional that year.. That means you were 3 or 4 SEC wins away from being a National Seed... Yall are bad this year but a runner up finish in Omaha and #2 final ranking to end the season gets Cohen and Butch a pass for the 2015 campaign IMO.

Just an outside opinion

A very informed opinion.

16-14 SEC record that year, third in the West. It wasn't a bad regular season but it's not like we cleaned house either. I probably just shouldn't expect as much, but damn it I hate watching seasons like this one.

With the way Cohen recruits it's not like yall have a huge rebuild on your hands... He'll run a couple guys off that have ended up being busts and bring in some new highly ranked recruits... Ross Mitchell struggling has really really hurt... That guy out up a shite ton of zeroes the past 3 years... These new balls have done him no favors.

If it doesn't turn around quick Big Balls Stricklin will pull the rug out from under his arse. Losers are not tolerated at our university anymore.
