Just to be clear, we are talking about Clay Helton (USC OC) and not Kim Helton (UAB OC and former Gator Center), right?

Word is that Clay may receive several HC position offers and is weighing through everything...but if the offer isn't an elite one....Clay may be our guy. Im ok with it.

I am still thinking it is possible he comes in as a QB coach. The OC situation is pretty annoying because NOBODY is talking that would typically have information on it.

No matter who we hire some of our own and the rivals will claim we settled for our 15th choice.
I like the Roper guy just based on listening to his speech at the Broyles ceremony. Very well spoken and gregarious. Not stuffy like Pease and Fat Boy.

I honestly don't care what our fans think of the hire or what other fanbases think of the hire. Just get me the guy that can simplify and teach the offense well. That is all UF needs, and someone that has the capability of tailoring the offense to his QB's strengths.

Supposedly he met with Kerwin Bell last week as well.
