Sounds like this is going to be the only thread used on this board now so sounds like a great idea. They hav to be a great recruiter and being a jerk wouldn't be bad either.

so you wish that Florida didn't have freshmen all Americans David Reese and Jawaan Taylor? Or Antonio Callaway? Or Jabari Zuniga?
Yes stars matter, but when the coach has proven to be able to evaluate talented three stars, I trust it.
Keep dreaming on the new coach train TJ. That's the only place where Mac isn't the coach of UF after next year. In your unrealistic, ridiculous dreams.

If UF fired a HC after 2 straight East titles, NO HC worth a damn in America would touch UF with a 10 foot pole

Not entirely true, but yes many would doubt the UF Football program if McElwain was fired right now.

Not only would firing a coach here after two years (or for that matter firing a coach after three years if his third year is still a winning season) give pause to any coaching candidates, it would sure make long term huge buy outs part and parcel of any agents negotiation.
Mac got a six year deal in large part due to the history of UF fans being difficult and impatient. Expect a HUGE buyout to prevent any new hire from being ousted prematurely if Mac is let go. Thats why I can be confident that Mac will be here til at least 2018 to prove his ability. The only way he is released next year is if we implode (without massive injuries) and finish below .500 and that aint happening.
We finish 11-1 in 2017 it will silence most of the peanut gallery....but not all of them....some will bitch no matter what. I am making a New Years resolution to not comment or reply to anything TJ or Finch post...I suggest others follow suit. They want the attention drawn to the negative posts they make....what better way to irritate them than ignore them?

Coaches know the expectations when the take high level jobs. UF is not competitive against elite teams. Keeping Mac after 3 years of ineptitude offense tells the fans and boosters you don't care about results. The east is garbage and Mac was brought in the fix the offense and win the SEC not it's weakest division. So far he's failed miserably at both. He'll have the same W-L as WM. He's shown zero progress in building a Championship team and his recruiting has been awful by UF standards. His 3rd class is ranked lower in * rating and SEC-National rank than WM 2014 after he went 4-8. He's also signed almost the same # of 3*s that WM did in 4 years combined at UF in almost 3 classes. He's paid millions to do his job and he's not producing adequate results.

You not responding with your drivel is a blessing to me Mr. Goebbels. Mac got a 6 year deal because Foley is an idiot when it comes to coaches contrasts in football.

If the coaches actually believed in their self then they would take the job. We have had 2 or 3 good years out of the last 6 years and didn't have any offense .

Chatter that Mac's going to get Jeff Stoutland, Mike Locksley, and Joe panunnzio. Holy shite if that happens Foleys head will spin. Lol I like it.

Imo McElwain didn't like Foley much. Respected him, yes, but I think McElwain would prefer to operate in the grey a bit more.

I know who locksley is but who are the other 2?

Stoutland was at Bama and Miami.
Jeff Stoutland
Joe Panunnzio
Both were involved in the Miami scandal and Panunnzio was fired at Murray state for off the field behavior of his players.

I know Foley is gone but the head of UF compliance is still around. I don't see UF hiring those two.
Mac might be put those two names out to make hiring Locksley more palatable.

Meyer is a coached that lived in the grey so I don't know about that. Meyer would do anything to win. I hope your right because coaches who sell their soul to win seem to be the ones who win championships .

You are obviously too young to know about Spurrier I assume?
I'd like you to run that win at all costs and selling their soul thingy by him and see what he tells you...after he removed his foot from your azz.
Meyer inherited a loaded squad from Zook and tried to make Leak a spread QB...smart...real smart. We got shite beat out of us in Meyers first year by Bama...also in 2007 when Zooks defense left we lost 4 games and without Tebow we would have lost probably at least 2 or 3 other games that year.

TugJob doing work as usual. As they say, comedy writes itself most of the time.

He's the reason we've sucked the last 6+ years and he neglected the facilities because he was cheap. Who hired Zook, WM and Mac? Even Meyer for all his success the ending was a train wreck.
