This weekend is gonna be fun either way.

BTW CiyE ... maybe it's just me, and my browser, but your avatar has been missing the past couple two or three days. Figured either your URL changed or maybe you ran outta bandwidth on your host or something ... you may be still seeing it if it is cached on your drive but I'm thinking most of us probably are not seeing it, I dunno. I dump cache daily so that could be it too.

Lloyd Cushenberry: Did not make it in. Pretty sure he's Mississippi State bound.

Karamo Dioubate: Temple is believed the be the primary competition at this point because Dioubate has a family issue that has him considering staying home in Philadelphia. As of today, though, I believe the Gamecocks are the team to beat for his services based on feedback I have received.

Stephen Davis Jr did not make it in.

Kiel Pollard: After checking with multiple contacts, he's still expected to flip to South Carolina within the next 24 hours and Walker's decision has no impact on Pollard. You never say never in recruiting but the Gamecocks have every reason to be extremely confident here.

I saw that Friday. photobucket.com was experiencing some technical issues with their site, but it's fixed now.

Was mine missing too? I host mine on my Son's photobucket space. Damn ... y'all tell me if y'all see mine missing please. Or is that too OCD?

Also, has anyone mentioned the Cecil Stallings thing yet> I forget. Seems like ... I dunno, Tre Jackson and JaCorey Morris I remember but I think we talked about Cecil Stallings too right?

I'm groggy this morning.

I sure hope we mop-up this weekend.

3* DT Aaron Thompson
quote:

"I'm not sure right now," Thompson said. "It will be one or the other." "It was cool," Thompson said. "It was more chill and laid back. I liked how chill and relaxing it is there." "He said he has a great history of coaching dudes from Dillard," Thompson said. Thompson said he verbally committed to Maryland two weeks ago because "they need defensive linemen."

3* DE Jacoby Hill
quote:

“It was pretty good. I liked how the players interacted with me and the coaching staff are pretty cool guys. The big thing was how the players treated me, though. “I also liked the food, the facilities and the photo shoot. Dabbing was the best part of the photo shoot.” “Overall, they answered a lot of my questions,” he said. “I sat with Coach (Bryan) McClendon one night at dinner, though, and talked to coach (Lance) Thompson some. I would be used as a “Buck” position, and I’m the only recruit left at that position. I would have a good chance to make an impact as a true freshman.” “I like him. He’s a pretty cool cat. He’s energetic and all about his business. I was the first defensive guy they offered when they got here.” “He was telling me they like the coaching staff so far and that they are ready to get to work.” “I’m just going to stay low profile, pray about it and make my decision. It’s going to be South Carolina or Memphis.”

3* WR Randrecous Davis
quote:

“The trip was awesome,” he said. “I loved everything down here. The coaches, the players and everybody is just cool and fun to be around. It made me feel like I was at home.” “I’ve got to go home and decide what I want to do,” Davis said. “I think South Carolina has a little edge because of the people around and the people that I know up here.”

3* WR Korey Banks
quote:

“It was very welcoming,” the 6-foot-, 170-pound Banks said. “The players and the coaches showed a lot of love. I can see myself playing here, along with the other schools I’ve visited. I’m just going to have to go home and make the best decision for me.” “Letting me know that I was a priority for him and coach (Kurt) Roper and coach (Will) Muschamp,” Banks said. “There is an opportunity to come in and get a great education and be a play maker for them. Coach McClendon has kept in touch with me since he was at Georgia, so he immediately offered me when he got to South Carolina.” “Coach Muschamp was saying he wanted to use me on the perimeter and mix in some speed sweeps and things like that. A lot of the same stuff I did in high school.”

Coach Muschamp tweeted another #spursup! - don't know who it is yet, but Kiel Pollard was supposed to make his announcement between 5-6 today, so that's the #1 on my list of possibles....

If I still had a 247Sports Crystal Ball page, would have Kiel Pollard, Korey Banks, Randrecous Davis & Jacoby Hill to Gamecocks.

Have no idea on DT Karamo Dioubate, figure either Temple or SCarolina. Also would have DT Aaron Thompson to #Gamecocks.

Very underrated. He killed it in the playoffs and made a name for himself. He is built similar to a RB, but has great body control and the ability to make tough catches. Not that it matters, but if UGA whiffs on a few guys, they'll offer on NSD.

Do you know how Wims' visit went? He's another guy I'd like to see commit to us on NSD.

To UGA? He seemed to enjoy himself. Kirby and Javon welcomed a kid from Buford, GA with cerebral palsy on an official visit. They seemed to hit off well. I'd be surprised if he ended up anywhere other than Athens, but I don't pretend to have the slightest idea what these guys are thinking. You guys are getting Randrecous Davis, so you should be thrilled. Two big time WR's out of the state of GA should cure your appetite, so leave Wims alone!

I didn't notice if your's was out, if it was, they fixed everything and it's there now.

Yes, Stallings was told in December that we would honor his offer, but he was encouraged to look around for a better fit, and he did. Morris was impossible to get hold of, so I think they left a note with his HS coach as well. I don't know what they told Tre Jackson, or if they told him anything at all. His dad posts on here sometimes so he might know more.

Possibly, but have we offered yet? He's a national level recruit, he'll have a lot of options.

lots of good notes in PK's writeup

quote:

USC moved into the driver's seat with DE Jacoby Hill of Atlanta with his official visit. Hill didn't want to go on record as saying he has committed because he's waiting for a Signing Day announcement, but he did say the Gamecocks now lead for him over Indiana and Memphis. "I really got to hang out with the players and I liked them, they are cool," he said. "The coaching staff is real cool, too. I've got some players from Atlanta that are really close friends and we're talking about coming together, guys like Korey Banks and Randrecous Davis." Hill said it's possible the group from Atlanta could all sign with the Gamecocks on Wednesday.

WR Randrecous Davis of Atlanta is deciding between USC and Miami and he came out of his weekend in Columbia with the Gamecocks as the leader. But he's not ready to make the solid commitment. "I'm not sure, I'll have to think about it," he said. "South Carolina is the favorite but I'm waiting until Signing Day. The visit was awesome. The facilities, the people, the environment. They look for me to come in and play early. They are running the spread and a pro tempo and they are looking for receivers to throw the ball to." Davis caught 53 passes last season for 1154 yards and 17 touchdowns.

DE Aaron Thompson of Ft. Lauderdale arrived at USC for his official visit over the weekend as a Maryland commitment but he left up in the air over his final decision. Thompson said he'll now have a Signing Day decision between the Gamecocks and the Terps. "It went great," Thompson said of his visit. The students, they've really got a lot of pride. It's chill up there. The coaches and facilities are cool, really nice. Coach Muschamp told me I was a versatile player who can play inside, the three technique, but athletic enough to play across the line. They definitely want me. I told them the same thing I'm telling you, I'm up in the air." Thompson said his announcement will come around 11:00 AM on Signing Day.

WR Korey Banks of Tyrone, GA has been committed to North Carolina but his weekend at USC seems to have given him more to think about. "It was great," he said of the visit. Asked if he was planning to flip over to the Gamecocks, Banks replied, "We'll see." Banks said he'll make a final declaration on Signing Day. He has also been considering Alabama.

DE Malcolm Roach of Baton Rouge, LA said after visiting USC he has a decision to make on Wednesday. He has been committed to Texas but he said the visit put USC right up with the Longhorns. "As of right now, I don't know (about a decision)," Roach said. "I'll have to talk it over with my family and pray about. I'm going to wait until Signing Day and announce it." Roach said that announcement will come around 1:30 PM Eastern Time. "I had a great time at South Carolina. I think they are going to be under consideration. I really liked the coaching staff and the fans. They have nice facilities and a nice indoor." Roach visited Texas two weeks ago. Last season he had 147 tackles and 16 sacks.

DB Daniel Thomas of Montgomery, AL visited Auburn over the weekend and will have a Signing Day announcement. He also took official visits to USC, Minnesota and North Carolina. Thomas said he spoke with USC Thursday and though he won't say the Gamecocks are out, it appears he will go elsewhere. "They are kind of full," he said of the Gamecocks. "I pretty much know where I'm going."

WR Jeriko Morris of Crystal Springs, MS made his official visit to USC over the weekend and now will decide if he wants to stick with his commitment to Southern Miss or switch to the Gamecocks. Morris has not be available for comment but his coach, Stephen Rice, talked with his mother Saturday night. "They seemed to have had a real good time, she seemed real kind of happy and said they enjoyed everything,"Rice said. "We're going to sit down Monday night. He has a couple of opportunities. He's been committed to Southern Miss but they've had a coaching change. We'll see what they want to do as a family. He was real impressed, real happy. I think it went as well as it could go from talking to her."
