I'd venture to say that music is one of the things that has actually been declining over the last few decades. The amount of time and effort that went into Bach and Chopin compositions was staggering by what passes as "pop" music now. If you're the best in sports, cooking, whatever, you can generally be recognized after a while on a big level. You can prove how good you are. It's not like that with music usually. The most talented artists aren't the most known or most paid, and the most paid are just a producers product and normally not really elite on any instruments or writing.

Decades? I think you mean centuries. Bach died in 1750 and Chopin in 1849. You are also confusing best and most popular.

I meant decades, but pointed out that it was even more intricate way longer ago. Only in the last couple of decades have instruments been slowly faded from live shows. I play live a lot, and my age could factor into this, but I honestly have no idea how anyone can stand around 10k others watching someone play music from a laptop. I know music is out there waiting to be found, I'm just using pop music as the example for now.
My comment was confusing sorry.
Also what I was trying to get across was that music is one of the only areas that best and most popular aren't related. Sports they're related 99.9% of the time. Music is subjective though, people like different stuff I suppose.

Edm is just one genre of music. Some love it, many prefer guitars and drums.

Just heard on the radio that Isbell offered a $5000 reward regarding a theft in Athens. What's the scoop?
40 Watt Club, David Lowery an Mike Mills also contributed.

Somebody stole the bobble-head doll that Isbell keeps on his desk. The one of himself that Angela gave him. So's he's offering a reward for info on the culprit.
What Isbell doesn't know though... is that the missing doll is just a prank that Jim and Pam came up with while they were out running errands for Phyliss's Christmas party planning committee.
Those rascals have got it rigged where the doll will send Isbell pleas for help via fax message every day at 7am which will cause all kinds of shenanigans!

I am in the middle of binging Justified now - show definitely reminds me of "Decoration Day" by Isbell... it's a great show too

Angela was a hilarious character.
Remember that time when Isbell started an actual real fire to test everyone's emergency preparedness? And it caused panic and chaos and gave Stanley a heart attack, and then when the gay Mexican was trying to escape through the ceiling, Angela tried to throw her cat up to him? But the cat went up through the ceiling tile the annoying gay guy escaped through and then came crashing back down into the office through another part of the cheapo foam ceiling tiles?. So classic.

- the 40 Watt gear was recovered at a South Carolina Guitar Center
- The synth you remember from the 80's in Fletch and Horsby et al wasn't a shitty digital casio computer chip with batteries falling out the back and a salsa accompaniment. They were analog instruments that used high surges of electricity pumping through capacitors to create unique, deep, warm, thick sounds that could only be controlled in the hands of a true artist. See Moog.
- I know nothing of this isbell individual.

You didn't read my post then.
The Fletch/AxleF sound in the Hornsby song occurs exactly once in the entire song. For 1.5 seconds. It happens strategically at the beginning. And it is out of place as frick. By design.
Check a calendar to see how these movies and this song collide and get back to me.
