frick me running I would love to make that trip. Actually had hotels booked and everything but now have to head to a different city later that month for work so we're turning it into a long weekend vacation. Still, the idea of making a big Nashville visit with isbell at the ryman and the dawgs and dores is kind of harshing the mellow on my long weekend. arse.

I'm coming up from KCMO to the Vandy game that weekend. Looking forward to it but will be a rushed trip for me. Jealous of your plans!

So what is the plan here - Isbell playing on Tues right? You just going to hang out in Nashville from Sat - Wed? I love the idea of Dawgs > Isbell, just not sure about making a 5 day weekend out of it

Well the Vandy is only about 6 miles and the Ryman about 10 miles from my house so I'll at least plan to make it to the game.

Two of these things are still decent. The other one is probably the most over-rated bullshite under the sun. What sucks though..is that the majority of the people at the other two, probably think the third one is cool-dude-gospel, so it's all fricked up. This sucks. Idiots.

I heard Jason Isbell has grown tired of travelin alone.

Trust me. I heard his song "Tired of Traveling Alone" once, and he said he was tired of traveling alone at least 400 times. Over and over.

Alright, a song called "24 frames" came on after that one. It cut me up pretty bad. I guess he has powers, but look though. This is not tailgate music. I like Gordon LIghtfoot, but I don't want to combo a football weekend with it. What in the world??

Toby Keith loves America. Motley Crue likes to party. Jason Isbell likes himself.

I mean, have any of you even actually listened to most of this shite? Who does this geek think he is? This is crazy

We can't take summer vacations (Business related) so we follow the Dawgs in the fall. We usually spend an extra night or two in Nashville regardless. Hell if there any extra tickets for sale outside the Ryman ,we might catch the second show.

I admitted he has powers, dude. Most of it's just too self-absorbed and brooding for me.

GA/FL Line loves lift kits. Jimmy Buffet loves the beach. Snoop loves weed. And Jason Isbell loves him some Jason Isbell. It is what it is. No big deal.

Speed Trap Town, Palmetto Rose, and Super 8 Motel are all solid.

Dress Blues and Elephant are also legitimately great songs but definitely sad.

I agree. It's possible to not like something, but still appreciate it. That's key, imo.

I also appreciate how he got booted out of his former cartoon band, but now that cartoon band is hawking shitbag sjw anthems to NPR, and the dude they fired is now the darling of the music snob circuit they covet. Too funny.
