And Clemson isn't even really a town. It's one street and then the University.
Clemson isn't one street. there is the street near the campus with the apparel stores, bars and some restaurants, and then other streets with stuff on it.
what do Auburn students do in the part of auburn not adjacent to the college. how do the non-college students living in auburn make it a better college town.
if you live in Clemson, you basically live in Pendleton, Central, Seneca, and Anderson. this area has about the same footprint as Auburn and the city next to Auburn.

I'm cool with leaving Fayetteville off of all the "best places" lists for a while. Over 2,000 people a year are moving into this town right now and it's a little much.

UNC Chapel Hill should be Top 5.

unc chapel hill is decent but overrated.
the busy hospital on campus kind of dampens the college town vibe as well.

Baton Rouge is not a college town

Athens is well deserving. Boulder is a cool arse town but doesn't really strike me as a "college town".

Boulder is an example of what happens to great college towns that offer a great quality of life when they mature.
It starts when people move there for college and love it so much, they find every reason they can to stay.

boulder is expensive as hell because it is run by liberal Democrats who restrict new housing developments so the supply of housing doesn't meet the demand.

Ann Arbor is a shithole
Athens, Oh is the epitome of a college town. Princeton is a close 2nd.
Annapolis way better than West Point. Annapolis one of the best small cities in the whole country.
College of Charleston, SC..best college town in SC

charleston can't be a top college town because it doesn't have a major college football program.
charleston is overrated, and COC has limited student housing.

Seattle and Austin are not college towns. They are cities with colleges.
