And last night was a prime example. Murray faced that type of pressure for four years because of a crappy O-Line. McCarron finally ran out of luck and into a team that could get to him.

My guess is his draft stock took a HUGE hit last night.

Lack of a run game hurt McCarron as well. Alabama probably relies on the run to set up the pass more than we do.

Don't think Bama was used to getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage like that.

Murray has the stats but McCarron has the hardware and obviously had the better supporting cast during his tenure. McCarron will probably be the better pro prospect also due to his height. However, I'm not convinced that his arm strength is NFL caliber.

None of that matters when your last performance turns out the way it did last night. You've got a senior QB who finally got some pressure put on him and he looked like a deer in headlights. Made a number of VERY poor decisions with the ball last night. Coming into it, his decision-making was supposed to be his strength. He could still get drafted ahead of Murray, but it's not something I'd place a bet on. He's no better than Brodie Croyle.

I'll tell you what. That qb for Oklahoma is a beast. Unreal ability to throw on the run and was dropping dimes on good coverage. How does a kid like that come out of nowhere. Insane

He did well, but I was more impressed with OU's receivers.

Dang.

They were extremely impressive. They could teach our guys a thing or two about catching the ball in traffic

I think last night really exposed AJ. He's a really good QB who benefited his entire career from an elite supporting cast. The hardware doesn't impress me because it is obvious that he didn't earn it on his own. Swap him out for Murray, Mett, or any host of good QBs and I'd bet that they'd have the same results.

Murray had to do more with less. He didn't throw to one great receiver, but spread the ball all over the place. He had TG and KM, but this season showed that he was able to put up some numbers without relying on his stars. Obviously he took a hit with the injuries, but he made stuff happen on his own.

I don't know who will do better in the NFL. Maybe both will ride the pine as backups for a few years then move on to other things. But I think Murray made more of a difference for UGA than AJ did for Bama.

Too bad we couldn't give Murray the same supporting cast that McCarron had prior to this year. Guy deserved to at least win the SEC once.

I agree that McCarron's draft stock took a massive blow. He could have been a mid-late first rounder before but now I don't think he will be picked until the 2nd or 3rd round at the earliest. McCarron could not look past even the slighest pass rush and the NFL really does not like QBs who can't handle a bit of pressure in the pocket.

It would really surprise me if McCarron is drafted before the third round. He has never been anything more than a game manager.

Agreed. It's also funny to me that McCarron turned down the Senior Bowl invite, according to the SECr

You know how much Murray would give to be able to play in the Senior Bowl?

Bad move on his part. His last game will be remembered as one of his worst.
