The biggest issue is Foster is inconsistent and everyone else is a true freshman. When it's 3rd and 6 you want to have a safety net guy like Ridley. When he went out we kind of lost that, and the 3 freshman are still figuring out how to be college receivers.
The hope would be that Foster would step in there, but last night didn't help that cause.
Ruggs/Jeudy/Smith are more than capable in the secondary receiver role, but they aren't quite mentally there to be the #1 guy with Jalen. So, losing Ridley really throws things for a loop. That isn't a great situation, but it kind of is what it is I think.

You make my point for me. Do you want Tua's first "real game time experience" to come in the 4th quarter of an Iron Bowl we're losing? Because that's when AJ McCarron's was.
Said it before and I'll say it again...there is not one intelligent argument against giving Tua a series or two in every game. Saban obviously has his reasons, but that doesn't mean it would be a bad idea to play Tua a little every game.
Phil Jackson and Pat Riley may have had different philosophies and approaches to how to coach their teams. Doesn't mean one was right and the other wrong.

I could play quarterback behind that offensive line. Not really, but you know what I mean.

Wait till they unveil the Hurts / Tua package when they're in the game at the same time

I think Bradley Bozeman was playing hurt last night. He had missed early week work with an ankle, usually he is a bulldozer in the run game but got beat a few times.

Hurts was pretty bad last night, but like others have said, so was the whole offense. The WRs stunk it up. The OL played their worst game of the year (credit to an A&M DL that's MUCH better than anyone has given credit for). Bozeman was hobbled and almost couldn't go, and it showed. Mack was a beast and pushed him in the backfield all night.
All in all, it's an offensive performance I'm glad Bama got out of their system. We usually have one about like that around this time of the year every year.

I keep hearing shite-talking about the WRs and Foster in particular.
All of our WRs right now will play on Sundays, including Foster. Big, 4.3 receivers don't typically go undrafted.
We had 2 dropped balls last night. Big fricking deal (I guess it is when you have a poor QB who finally delivers a catchable ball).
We also had Calvin Ridley running wide arse open, and always having to stop his stride and turn and jump back to barely get to Hurts' throw.
I'll just say our WRs look like fricking beasts when Tua is out there
We have a QB who can barely pass for 100 yards a game. We're now 22 games into the Hurts era, nothing has improved, and it's time to go a different direction - especially since we've got an NFL OC

Because Foster played like dog shite last night.
You are as bad as those who defend Hurts to the grave. If you can't admit Foster changed the game in 2 plays with a 1st down drop and a fumble in our own territory then your input on this topic is rendered irrelevant.

1 dropped ball and 1 turnover shouldn't be enough to send our offense spiraling out of control
If Foster hadn't fumbled the ball on a stupid screen pass (conservative bad play call) that was blown up in the backfield, I would say he had an average game.
Yeah, I guess when you only get 3 passes thrown your way, and you drop an easy one you look terrible, but a lot of our fans thought Julio Jones had bad hands too. It's because we have no passing game

Totally agree, but that wasn't your argument. Your argument was it was wrong to out blame on Rob Foster. He single handily changed the game with 2 atrocious plays back to back. It's completely reasonable to note that in discussing the prior game.

He fumbled because it was a bad play call? You kidding me right now? Seriously, is that some sort of ironic attempt to act like the Hurts people you have been making fun of?
He's a co-#2 receiver in a run first offense, exactly how many balls per game should he be getting? How many balls a game would it take to make him not drop perfectly thrown 1st downs or get stripped on screen plays? That's ridiculous. Are we now pissed off we don't throw the ball 30 times a game? Wasn't that the thing all the morons were pissed off about with Kiffin? How the fvck can we win here (other than, you know, winning championships, which is what we do every year).
Again, this bullshtie is as bad as the hard liner bullshite that blames everything on anybody but Hurts. You can say that's me being "down the middle" or whatever but it's nonsense. Come on. This feels like orchestrating a peace process between Hamas and the state of Israel.

I guess my point is that our offense is so tight, one-dimensional, and ineffective that normal errors are magnified intensely.
Drops happen. Fumbles happen (especially when you ask your WRs to make running plays). One missed block, or a couple of mistakes by a 5star super-talent isn't the problem.
The problem is our entire offense is limited right now by a QB with no arm. It's frustrating to watch, it's frustrating to the coaches, it's frustrating to the players, and it dampens our momentum

We were up 24-3 and cruising. We had something like 250 yards 1 drive into the 2nd half. We weren't exactly Mike Shulaing around out there.
We are in the Top 15 nationally in roughly every scoring and total yardage category. We are top 10 in almost all efficiency categories. Will our problems maybe effect us down the line? Yes, it might. You are painting the picture of 2005 Alabama post-Prothro every game. That isn't anywhere close to what we are or have been all season.

It's par for the course whenever we face a defense with a pulse - like FSU.
We can all see what's coming down the line - better defenses with better front 7s. We don't have the same defense as last year, but we have the same QB. Outlook not good.

We'll see. We had 500+ yards against Auburn last season spread evenly over 4 qtrs. (we didn't just wear them down late). We were moving the ball at will against Clemson until Bo broke his leg. I'm not ready to crawl into a shell yet. I'm certainly not going to act like we've been atrocious on offense so far over 6 games solely because we weren't completely gelled against a good defensive front in the 1st game of the season.
We are far too good to just throw in the towel because we lost the national title on the last play of the game and only scored 24 points against Florida State. That's silliness.

So what is the point of your thread? That Alabama can win with anyone at quarterback? Fine. This isn't news.

We're not atrocious but being this one-dimesnsional is really concerning - especially when we see what a team like Texas A&M can do to us. They came within striking distance late because our offense completely sputtered in the second half after Chavis adjusted.
