Why do you always feel the need to reach into your arsenal of excuses when Auburn fails to measure up financially to Alabama?
Alabama wasn't much better off during that time. They were better at giving back to the College. They had less students and some lower academic ratings. I reference that the majority of AU degrees had to go out of state to find decent paying jobs and the rest were raised with different priorities in spending their disposable income.

IP believes the reason that less than 12% of Auburn's grads donate to their alma matre is because they are still suffering from the Great Depression from damn near 90 years ago. The reason why Alabama alum donate +/- 32% to their alma matre is because of the large and powerful Greek system at UA drove more legacies and we have generations of alums willing to open their wallets.
You have a fricked up Reading Comprehension score. Probably the same one that got you into UA.

Why are you guys so cheap, or so lack appreciation for your school that you don't donate?

Oh, gotcha. Like I said, I didn't read back to the previous arguments.
Using broad brushes to generalize institutions or their alumni on sparse information turns my interest off no matter who says it. I don't mind using them to troll; however, if the discourse of legitimate discussion is desired, facts and/or research must be freely given to justify such generalizations.

Looks like Aubies need reparations for the civil war and the great depression now.
We need to start that movement
We need to start that movement

Most of our fans donate to various charities, art museums, homeless shelters, and to Auburn's perennial rising football ticket costs.
See what I did there?

And for some reason, you feel the need to make excuses for the Auburn alum not giving back to Auburn. You go as far back as 85-90 years ago when the Depression Era began to build up a case for the lack of giving from your current alumni.
I don't understand why you take this position every time Auburn fails to measure up to Alabama financially?

Like I said, this is changing now. AU just completed a $1B campaign. Part of it is because of a more established Alumni Base and changing priorities of new generation of alumni.

No, I gave you a reason why Auburn has lagged behind in Alumni contributions over the last 25 years. If you practice reading comprehension, you would see that I stated things are changing. Again, I referenced the $1B campaign. Students who went to school in the 50s,60s 70s and 80s where raised by those who experienced the Depression. Not hard to understand for most people.

Agreed and that is one reason why it was being criticized

So the parents of Bama students didn't experience the Great Depression as well?

No! Anybody that even sniffed the Great Depression sent their children to Auburn because they knew then the value of money. They also knew then Bammer was nothing but MercedesU back then as well. All of them..

No Mercedes has ever been inside the state of Alabama

Thank you for that insight. Again, the 20% difference of those Alumni that contribute is the difference between first generation college graduates and legacy graduates. I expect both Schools numbers will increase over time. You guys are exhausting, I feel for any UA Professor.

Looky here, auburn sucks, i think all of us but aubies can get on board with that. With the law of 3's aubie was supposed to be good last year, but they sucked. Now looks like it's gonna happen a year later. Such an auburn thing to do.
