Luckily I have second hand experience from multiple alums of both schools. And, shockingly, none of the Auburn versions sounds like a poorly written Hallmark movie about hardscrabble youths walking uphill to and from the Engineering building on campus while alternating between reciting the Auburn Creed and John 3:16 until they get home and pen letters to their fathers, still working hard in the fields or the mines to send their sons to Auburn for a better life.

Most of them drank, were in fraternities and did basically the exact same thing that all my friend's Alabama parents did. And that was the 1970's, not even the 1980's or 1990's.

Puppet is trying really hard to act like Auburn is this heaven on earth.

Yea dude, you don't understand, kids who graduated from Auburn in 1988 came from hardscrabble, outhouse using, TVA praising, bread line veteran households. Auburn gave them everything they never thought was possible, and therefore they believe in Auburn and love it. All the Alabama alums of the 1980s were born on plantations with slaves and stuff.

No, most of them can from hard working Alabama citizens. Alabama was a very poor State, with poor schools during the 50s,60s and 70s (check stats). Some came from well off families, but the majority were not legacy enrollees. If you wanted to study Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine or Pharmacy, you went to Auburn. If you wanted to major in Pre-med, Business or Communications, you went to UA. If you wanted to be in Education, you chose JSU, UNA, TroySt and some of the smaller schools. There were of course exceptions, but that is how is was prior to the late 80s. It has changed since then.

I have no problem with it assuming you have done enough extensive research to justify the assertion. To be able to use qualifiers like "most" and "all" to cover a demographic as broad as "Auburn alumni" I'd say your research much be very impressive.

Auburn has no reason to exist. by CockCommander
A program that only exists to leech off their superiors in Tuscaloosa.

A town shittier than Starkville and thats fricking saying something.

Every time Auburn fans speak, they do so with clear and dripping Alabama dick envy. You can see it in their eyes. Alabama is superior, in everything that could possibly exist. And they know it, but have devoted their lives to lying to themselves about it.

If it werent for Auburn and their constant desire for sexual transformation into Alabama, Bama would have even greater resources. They hold them back.

Remove Auburn from the conference.
are people seriously just figuring this out?

My problem with Allin2010 is that his post was meant to imply that AU is some unique place that is loved by its supporters at some magically greater levels than any level of love supporters of other schools give their universities. As another poster retorted, 36% Bama grads donate back to the UNIVERSITY. Less than 12% of AU grads can say the same

They were raised by blue collar parents from the Great Depression, whose priorities were their family, their church and their community. Most State named Universities have generations of college graduates and thus more willing to put their school on that priority list. AUs demographics will change in the next few years (has already happened in some of the funding campaigns).
Why do you always feel the need to reach into your arsenal of excuses when Auburn fails to measure up financially to Alabama?

Auburn reasons to exist. The Dawgs need at least one team that they can dominate.

I stated my point a few posts ago. It is you and your dumbass friends who haven't countered anything with a logical retort and feel obligated to write some babble. I guess that is what they teach in Debate now. I like watching you all chase your tails.

IP believes the reason that less than 12% of Auburn's grads donate to their alma matre is because they are still suffering from the Great Depression from damn near 90 years ago.

The reason why Alabama alum donate +/- 32% to their alma matre is because of the large and powerful Greek system at UA drove more legacies and we have generations of alums willing to open their wallets.

However, allin2010 thinks Bama folks only love UA because of football.

lol, this narrative is seen so much after Alabama beats the shite out of Auburn. It's the typical fall back for retarded butt hurt Auburn fans. Meanwhile, we're among the best in average attendance for softball and gymnastics, and also average more in fan attendance than Auburn in basketball and baseball.

To be fair Tuscaloosa and the university there are larger than Auburn and the university here. Probably by a larger percentage than the larger percentage of people that show up to your sporting events. Not enough to make a huge difference but some. Auburn does have a smaller sidewalk fanbase percentage just because Alabama has a larger draw on the state as a whole.
