So he was let go because without Farrar the staff was just down a man recruiting. Actually really sad, I feel bad for Werner.

Put that bullshite in perspective. Your administration fired a guy, who cannot recruit due to his autistic son, because their cheating left him without a pinch recruiter.

I think it had more to do with needing a scapegoat for how shitty our offense was this year.

Yep, something doesn't pass the smell test here.

The OM talking heads have said all along that Werner and Matt Luke were "rock solid" and untouchable. The QB Brennan kid, from the coast, said last week that Werner and Freeze were on him.

Errybody knew Barney was dead-man-walking, but this is a shocker

Shits coming unraveled for Hugh. That man has aged 10 yrs since draft night, he is visibly worn down.

Both will probably be position coaches looking to make a name for themselves IMO.

The offensive coordinator spot has some draw because there is a lot to work with. Nobody in their right mind is taking the DC spot, going to be interesting for sure.

How has this not been a bigger complaint? It was clear Ole Miss fans were frustrated with the scheme and play calling but I never saw this brought up.

we were succeeding in ways we never had before in the modern era. Chickens came to roosts this year though and we got exposed.

I remember him from those post-back-to-back UF basketball teams who made the NIT

I didn't think he was as bad as everyone made him out to be but his shooting slump his senior year was bad

Warner is the scapegoat

I dont think so. To the in-depth fan, we realize there were big offensive problems because of our second half performance, but to the everyday fan the only problem this year was defense. Those are the type of fans you pander to with scapegoat coaches.

I could be wrong but I've heard with Werner getting married that he would no longer be under the special needs waiver and couldnt have someone recruit for him. Werner told Freeze he was still going to stay at home and Freeze cut him loose. With as many disadvantages OM has, we have to be as efficient as possible in recruiting to succeed at high level and your OC not recruiting isnt being efficient.

SEC is brutal.

Two wrongs dont make a right, but to give more evidence to the "all business approach" the SEC has, look no further than Jeffery Simmons.

Freeze could have hired our future DC last year as a secondary coach, who was the best recruiter in the '13 class, and instead held true to a promise he made when he left ASU and gave it to the worst coach we currently have on staff. This season seems to have taught him you cant be a sunday school teacher and succeed in the SEC.

Chuck Rounsville who you know is a homer but you may not know is a close close friend to Werner. That said, everyone is still shocked.

Let's welcome another quality control analyst to Tuscaloosa.

Does Saban own a condo building where he house these guys?

We should sell Aubietron tv and get 49 quality control consultants.

So in your opinion, did new information come up? Why was Werner recruiting Brennan in his home less than a week ago if Freeze knew this was going to happen? Wouldn't right before the dead period be the worst possible time for this to happen?

As far as Barney, I think so. I mean if we are sacrificing him to the NCAA like all other programs do when they get in trouble, why are we just doing it now, so some new information must have just came out. Thus why he was placed on administrative leave a few weeks ago.

As far as Werner goes, hes the QB coach. Him talking to a QB isnt surprising. For instance all of our defensive staff is out recruiting when we all know the majority are going to be let go.

But our OC has not changed.

Ole Miss has led the conference in total offense for 3 of the 5 years he's been there...don't see a problem with his team offensively. LSU would be national champions this season with an offense like Freeze produces.

Thanks for finally showing up, RotR.

The sane OM posters like WhiskeyD and WhereIsOmaha make too much sense and not enough fun out of everything.

Maybe you can tell us if Barney is taking the Leo tapes with him

You don't have to sell Aubietron.

Saban doesn't pay them squat. Sark is making $35,000 and Locksley makes $45,000.
