We kept playing 1 or 2 games a year there until 2004 I think.
2003. Against South Florida. Absolutely brutal heat that day.

When was the last time MS St and OM played in Jackson? vs each other or another opponent.
Last game I can remember being played there was 2006 Saints preseason game (against Colts I think)

Keep fighting the good fight brother, if you can save one trailer payment from being instead spent on bammer t-shirt numbers 126,127 and 128, you will be doing the lord's work.
Fight on God's soldier!

If the Bama administration hadnt become so weak in the 80's we still wouldnt be playing there. Thats why if Auburn moves to the east and we stop the game, which we will, that will be the comeuppance we've been waiting for since the state MADE us play. Auburn was UAB or Troy with a better campus. Florida played there but Florida was worse than Auburn. florida just wanted to be recognized in some form. Tennessee didnt need them either. UT first went there in 78, and had a 42-0 lead at halftime
I don't care what anyone says, this is the version of history I'm going to choose to believe.

The south end zone was wood bleachers when I started going to Denny Stadium.
Siting in the south end zone I saw Joe Willie blow his knee out.
I also was at both games Bryant lost there.
UFand Southern Miss if I remember correctly.
Can't be many of us left.

Guess that makes LSU the worst athletic program in the country!

The series was discontinued after a 6-6 tie in 1907 -- the only tie in Iron Bowl history -- because the schools could not agree on daily expenses for players, as well as on who would officiate the game.
Even in 1907 Auburn saw the wisdom of attempting to get the officiating away from southern officials and into the hands of someone not already under ownership.

This is true and any rational person knows this. And I commend him for it because he was damn good at it.
Yet with their dying breath, a large portion of the Bama faithful will deny it, take that last swallow of PBR, then pass on to the great beyond.

If AU was Troy with a nicer campus why did Bama have a losing record against them before the divide?

Auburn was the largest school in the state until recently. There was nothing the inbred Bammers or politicians could have done to prevent the move. Arrington and Donald Watkins and the Bammers went after Dye because of the move, but that didn't slow it down.

Exactly. Y'all would take any illiterate off the street just to boost your enrollment.
What the hell happened to TiM83? I hope he's OK.

Railroad Travel had much to do with where games were played in the early days through post WWII.
