Will Rhoades fire Kim Anderson after only his second season?

I hope so.
Look, I know it's normal for coaches to be given at least 3 or 4 years in CBB before they are shown the door but after what I've seen against power 5 opponents in Kim Anderson's short tenure so far here at Mizzou.....I just don't see how that can happen. I mean, It's that bad. Words can't describe what I'm seeing out there on that court.
I was hoping for some type of improvement from last season but somehow we've gotten even worse. There is no excuse to be this bad no matter what your roster looks like.
I know it's not my decision to make but let's face it, we both know how this relationship is going to end. You can't tell me he's going to develop a team next year that will be good enough for him to keep his job. If we couldn't improve at all after last year, why should I think we will next year?
This guy is clearly in way over his head and he honestly shouldn't have been given the job in the first place.
1) He can't recruit. How many 4 and 5 star guys did we miss that were right in our own backyard this past year?
2) He can't keep his players under control. How many players have we lost the last few years because of transfers and disciplinary problems? He has failed to keep kids interested in the program. He struggles to develop his players into good men in addition to half decent basketball players.
3) He can't coach these kids up in general to be ready to play competitively in a game against a P5 opponent. We have a team out there that looks like they don't give a shite and have no game plan. It's just embarrassing at how ill prepared and armature this team looks. Yeah I know, they're college kids but it honestly doesn't even look like they're a division 1 level CBB team. They can't compete against teams that are supposed to be at their level.
I say we fire him after this season. If I'm Mack Rhoades, I'm taking out Mike Alden's trash and starting to look for a new head coach right now while Kim Anderson finishes up his last season here. Not next year, not next month, not next week, not tomorrow, right now. Like I said, we both know how this relationship is going to end if we keep him around another year. No point in wasting everyone's time and keeping him around another year just to fire him after next season anyway. Keeping him around another year will only be another year of added rebuilding time for Mizzou basketball. He's obviously not the guy so let's just move on and start the rebuilding process over again with a serious head coaching hire this time.

Let's hope, but probably not.

Although I wouldn't be shocked if KA gets fired after this year if Mizzou isn't more competitive.
Who is the last Mizzou coach that reeled in 4 or 5 star Missouri kids. Haith didn't, Mike Anderson didnt. Probably have to go back to Quin to find a Mizzou coach that also recruited well.

Mike Anderson and Haith both recruited well enough to compete. Kim Anderson's teams are not competing and recruiting is at least 40% of the problem (it could be 75% of the problem, but we're so bad it's hard to tell how much of the problem is coaching and how much is talent).

Neither landed 4 or 5 star Missouri kids. KA has landed more 4 star kids than MA. KA does need to recruit better. He needs to get guys to stay. The freshman class has shown enough that I think in 2 years they will be good foundation pieces.
Just not sure KA will do enough to coach them at that point.

If Rhoades doesn't he needs to go next. I am not overwhelmed with the FB hire so if he doesn't fire KA and get someone in here after this season his days might be numbered as well.

Mizzou basketball recruiting, do you?
None of those guys are from Missouri. The last 4 or 5 star kid from Missouri to go to Missouri was Kareem Rush.

Wait until we go on our conference losing streak for the next 2 months.

You're right. I didn't read your comment carefully.

While you are correct. We need to find a guy that CAN do it instead of resigning ourselves to the fact that it can't/wont happen.
There is an incredible amount of talent flowing out of STL every year. Way too much for us not to be getting our share of it.

Re-recruiting Haith's recruits doesn't count. Not for me.
And losing two 4 stars to transfer probably doesn't bode well.

Unfortunately they go every where but MU. We need to recruit STL better but it is easier said then done.

It's going to take 1) an African American recruiter and 2) a commitment to the region over time. St. Louis is a peculiar beast. Standing and shaking your head at it from afar is a normal reaction. But that doesn't change anything.

No but this is Mizzou not UCLA. Can we be great here, yes but not in 2 years. Let the man have the proper time

Or a sarcastic A-hole. I have a C-Note that Mizzou beats Arky and I can't stand USCe. I think they are a crap program. Look deeper in my posts and I drop my MO knowledge

The only other colors I MAY bleed more than Black and Gold is Bearcat Green and White. Dem Bearcats are beasts in football with 5 nattys. If you look at my posts on the rant. I'm pro mizzou

So Corey Tate
As long as they let him play in the gray and he's able to recruit there for about five years, minimum.
