He's a horrible, horrible QB.
And a team will only go as far as their QB will take them.

Jeremy Johnson should be the defensive MVP of the SEC he can stop an offensive drive at the drop of a hat

quote:I never said they were good. But when you're on the fricking field for the majority of the game and you're getting screwed on short field situations because your QB keeps handing the other team the ball then what do you expect?
And the defense didn't just give up 400 yds rushing?!

Auburn hasnt been good since Prosch left.

he literally threw the ball backwards today. He threw the fricking football backwards. Let that sink in. It didn't slip out of his hand and fall to the ground, he threw it backwards. The saddest part is that wasn't his worst throw of the day.

And weren't we at midfield down only 7-0?

we were moving the ball but we didn't cross midfield and run a play until late third quarter. JJ had the long run was the literally the only time we crossed midfield until like 5 minutes left in the third.

Well, we were close to midfield at least, because the ball was around the 30. It was at least the 40+.

agreed. we were moving the ball, Barber had about 15 to 20 yards on 2 or 3 carries and then got pulled inexplicably and then JJ throws it backwards and loses 18 yards.
shite, JJ threw one pass to Duke while he was running about a 12 yard route and bounced it 10 yards short of him. Imagine being a receiver and your quarterback bounces a mid route pass to you 10 yards short. That is the point that you walk off the field and say frick this shite.

You could have the most prolific offensive mind to ever coach the game playing calls but when your QB throws directly to the defense how in the frick is play calling going to fix that. Ya'll need to abandon this line of thinking.

Don't think that is called for. He has a point. Jeremy is obviously sucking balls but he also is not a good fit for this offense as it is currently designed. As this offense is currently designed it needs a running threat from the qb to be effective. We either need to go out and find another true dual threat qb or hire a different OC with more than a high school understanding of the passing game. I know people are going to point to Todd but we sucked balls that year too against any defense with a pulse.

And who is making those wrong zone reads?
Posted on 9/19/15 at 7:04 pm to thirdlawson
Not sure who you have been watching. Barber was our O the first two games. Either he got dinged up or our staff had a huge brain fart today..........not that he would have helped much, but we saw our O today without him.

What zone read? We may have ran 5 all season.

He is not the only problem, but he is the biggest problem.
